Pakistan to flourish tourism for poverty alleviation

Dr. Sania Nishtar, special assistant to the prime minister (SAPM) has committed to take lead in the collaborative endeavor of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) to flourish tourism for poverty alleviation.

She was addressing a special session on, ‘Advancing tourism for development, and poverty alleviation as keynote speaker at the second conference of the Parliamentary Assembly of Economic Cooperation Organisation (PAECO) countries.

The session brought together PAECO delegates from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Pakistan.

In a special session, the members of the national parliaments of the ECO issued a joint statement to cooperate on poverty alleviation.

Reiterating Pakistan’s resolve to flourishing tourism for poverty alleviation, Dr. Sania Nishtar declared that Pakistan will take the lead in this collaborative endeavor. She emphasized the promotion of tourism across the ECO region in all its legal forms.

The delegates of ECO countries jointly reaffirmed cooperation on various aspects of common aspirations in advancing tourism for development and poverty alleviation.

The member countries urged and called upon the Executive Council of ECO to formulate a joint working group/committee of members of parliament so that an institutional arrangement can be established for the joint sharing of resources of the PAECO member states, in the next one year, in the overall context of advancing tourism for development and poverty alleviation.

اسلام آباد: ایس اے پی ایم نے غربت کے خاتمے کے لئے فروغ پزیر سیاحت کے لئے ای سی او کے ساتھ تعاون میں پہل کی ہے۔

وزیر اعظم (ایس اے پی ایم) کی معاون خصوصی ڈاکٹر ثانیہ نشتر نے غربت کے خاتمے کے لئے سیاحت کو فروغ دینے کے لئے اقتصادی تعاون تنظیم (ای سی او) کی باہمی تعاون کی کوششوں میں رہنمائی کا عہد کیا ہے۔

وہ اقتصادی تعاون تنظیم (پی اے ای سی او) کے ممالک کی پارلیمانی اسمبلی کی دوسری کانفرنس میں بطور مہمان خصوصی اسپیکر ، "ترق�� کے لئے ترقی اور غربت کے خاتمے" کے موضوع پر خصوصی اجلاس سے خطاب کررہی تھیں۔

اس اجلاس میں افغانستان ، آذربائیجان ، ایران ، تاجکستان ، ترکی ، ترکمنستان ، ازبیکستان اور پاکستان کے پی اے ای سی او مندوبین کو اکٹھا کیا گیا۔

ایک خصوصی اجلاس میں ، ای سی او کی قومی پارلیمنٹ کے ممبروں نے غربت کے خاتمے کے لئے تعاون کرنے کے لئے ایک مشترکہ بیان جاری کیا۔

پاکستان کی غربت کے خاتمے کے لئے فروغ پزیر سیاحت کے عزم کا اعادہ کرتے ہوئے ، ڈاکٹر ثانیہ نشتر نے اعلان کیا کہ پاکستان اس باہمی تعاون کی کوششوں میں سبقت لے گا۔ انہوں نے تمام قانونی شکلوں میں ای سی او ریجن میں سیاحت کے فروغ پر زور دیا۔

ای سی او ممالک کے مندوبین نے مشترکہ طور پر اس بات کی تصدیق کی کہ ترقی اور غربت کے خاتمے کے لئے سیاحت کو آگے بڑھانے میں مشترکہ امنگوں کے مختلف پہلوؤں پر تعاون کریں۔

ممبر ممالک نے ای سی او کی ایگزیکٹو کونسل سے مطالبہ کیا کہ وہ پارلیمنٹ کے ممبروں کا مشترکہ ورکنگ گروپ / کمیٹی تشکیل دیں تاکہ آئندہ ایک سال میں ، پی ای سی او کے ممبر ممالک کے وسائل کے مشترکہ اشتراک کے لئے ادارہ جاتی انتظام قائم کیا جاسکے۔ ترقی اور غربت کے خاتمے کے لئے سیاحت کو آگے بڑھانے کے مجموعی تناظر میں۔
