Pakistan Collaborates with China to Boost Local Tourism

Pakistan is one of those countries in the world that is blessed with a diverse inventory of tourism attractions. It is based on the picturesque endowments of the natural landscape and features biodiversity and rich culture and heritage.

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is opening hundreds of new investment opportunities across the country. This was stated by the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Managing Director Aftabur Rehman Rana in an online consultative B2B (business-to-business) webinar between tour operators of Pakistan and China.

According to the news sources, the two nations have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote tourism under which, both sides can collaborate to develop the industry and lift it to new heights.

According to the details, He further underlined that the government has introduced a package of initiatives to promote tourism in Pakistan including the formation of the National Tourism Coordination Board, the introduction of the e-visa facility for 191 countries, the opening of Skardu airport in Gilgit-Baltistan for international flights, and enhancing domestic flight operations.

خبر رساں ذرائع کے مطابق دونوں ممالک نے سیاحت کے فروغ کے لیے مفاہمت کی ایک یادداشت پر دستخط کیے ہیں جس کے تحت دونوں ممالک اس صنعت کو ترقی دینے اور اسے نئی بلندیوں تک پہنچانے کے لیے تعاون کر سکتے ہیں۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ حکومت نے پاکستان میں سیاحت کے فروغ کے لیے اقدامات کا پیکج متعارف کرایا ہے جس میں نیشنل ٹورازم کوآرڈینیشن بورڈ کی تشکیل، 191 ممالک کے لیے ای ویزا کی سہولت متعارف کرانا، اسکردو ایئرپورٹ کا افتتاح شامل ہیں۔ بین الاقوامی پروازوں کے لیے گلگت بلتستان، اور اندرون ملک پروازوں کے آپریشنز کو بڑھانا شامل ہیں.
