Over Rs64 million released for power and business zones of Punjab

The Board of Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company has approved the release of Rs55 million to Fesco for the construction of a 132KV grid station in Bhalwal Industrial Zone and Rs9.6 million to Lesco for feeder connection in Chunian Aqua Business Park.

The approval was given in the 152nd meeting of the Board of Directors of PIEDMC chaired by PIEDMC Chairman Syed Nabil Hashmi. The board expressed satisfaction with the PIEDMC’s last year performance.

On the recommendations of the procurement committee, the board also approved Rs5.4 million for consultancy services of disposal stations in Vehari and Rahimyar Khan industrial zones, Rs30 million for transaction advisory of Muzaffargarh Industrial Zone, renewal of contracts of transport service, and medical insurance for staff. The meeting approved the proceedings of the 151st board meeting.

It was informed that the PIEDMC earned Rs12 billion from QABP, Rahimyar Khan, Vehari, and Bhalwal Industrial zones started development works of Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, Bahawalpur Industrial Zone, and transformed Chunian Industrial Zone into Aqua Business Park.

Work on net metering and expansion project was also started in Sundar Industrial Estate and for the first time in the history of PIEDMC annual budget was approved before the commencement of the new financial year, under corporate social responsibility construction work on medical trauma center and management training program was also launched.

Nabil Hashmi said that on the directions of the Minister for Industries and Commerce Aslam Iqbal, PIEDMC was facilitating business through one window operations in its managed industrial zones.

The Ease of Doing Business Index in these zones is one of the best in Pakistan. The industrialists are giving preference to PIEDMC-managed zones for their business.

The board directed the management to timely complete the development works of Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, Bahawalpur, and Chunian Aqua Business Park.

پنجاب انڈسٹریل اسٹیٹ ڈویلپمنٹ اینڈ مینجمنٹ کمپنی نے بھلوال انڈسٹریل زون میں 132KV گرڈ اسٹیشن کی تعمیر کے لیے فیسکو کو 55 ملین روپے اور چونیاں ایکوا بزنس پارک میں فیڈر کنکشن کے لیے 9.6 ملین روپے کی منظوری دے دی ہے۔

PIEDMC کے چیئرمین سید نبیل ہاشمی کی زیر صدارت PIEDMC کے بورڈ آف ڈائریکٹرز کے 152 ویں اجلاس میں منظوری دی گئی۔ بورڈ نے پی آئی ای ڈی ایم سی کی گزشتہ ایک سال کی کارکردگی پر اطمینان کا اظہار کیا۔

خریداری کمیٹی کی سفارشات پر بورڈ نے وہاڑی اور رحیم یار خان انڈسٹریل زونز میں ڈسپوزل اسٹیشنوں کی مشاورتی خدمات کے لیے 5.4 ملین روپے ، مظفر گڑھ انڈسٹریل زون کے ٹرانزیکشن ایڈوائزری کے لیے 30 ملین روپے ، ٹرانسپورٹ سروس کے معاہدوں کی تجدید اور میڈیکل انشورنس کی منظوری دی۔ عملہ اجلاس نے 151 ویں بورڈ اجلاس کی کارروائی کی منظوری دی۔

بتایا گیا کہ PIEDMC نے QABP ، رحیم یار خان ، وہاڑی اور بھلوال انڈسٹریل زون سے 12 ارب روپے کمائے ، قائد اعظم بزنس پارک ، بہاولپور انڈسٹریل زون کے ترقیاتی کام شروع کیے اور چونیاں انڈسٹریل زون کو ایکوا بزنس پارک میں تبدیل کیا۔

سندر انڈسٹریل اسٹیٹ میں نیٹ میٹرنگ اور توسیعی منصوبے پر بھی کام شروع کیا گیا اور پی آئی ای ڈی ایم سی کی تاریخ میں پہلی بار نئے مالی سال کے آغاز سے قبل سالانہ بجٹ منظور کیا گیا ، کارپوریٹ سماجی ذمہ داری کے تحت میڈیکل ٹراما سینٹر اور مینجمنٹ ٹریننگ پروگرام پر تعمیراتی کام بھی لانچ کیا گیا۔

نبیل ہاشمی نے کہا کہ وزیر صنعت و تجارت اسلم اقبال کی ہدایات پر پی آئی ای ڈی ایم سی اپنے زیر انتظام صنعتی زونوں میں ون ونڈو آپریشن کے ذریعے کاروبار کی سہولت فراہم کر رہی ہے۔

ان زونز میں کاروبار کرنے میں آسانی انڈیکس پاکستان میں بہترین میں سے ایک ہے۔ صنعتکار اپنے کاروبار کے لیے PIEDMC کے زیر انتظام علاقوں کو ترجیح دے رہے ہیں۔

بورڈ نے انتظامیہ کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ قائداعظم بزنس پارک ، بہاولپور اور چونیاں ایکوا بزنس پارک کے ترقیاتی کاموں کو بروقت مکمل کریں۔
