Lahore: The Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) is expected to be formally soon after the end of the countrywide lockdown due to the coronavirus as the test-run for the project has been completed successfully, a news source reported.
Earlier, the project was expected to start operation from June 11 onwards; however, due to the delays in staff’s arrival from China, it will take more time. The flights have been suspended in order to curb the spread of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic and the government seems in no mood to take some risky measures.
The test-run for OLMT was completed successfully and all the electrical and mechanical works are also completed. The reports suggest that the project is ready for public use and as much as six successful test runs confirm it.
