Ombudsman asks FGEHA to allot plots to all left-over eligible members

The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) acknowledged that during the recent balloting for allotment of plots in F-14/15 “quite a few” eligible members could not be accommodated due to shortage of plots.

According to a press release issued by the federal ombudsman office, the FGEHA director general informed the ombudsman at a briefing that during the balloting for allotment of plots in F-14/15, “quite a few eligible members in Cat-I and Cat-II could not be accommodated due to shortage of plots.”

It may be noted that the FGEHA allotted plots to a number of judges, and two special assistants to the prime minister who had applied when they were government employees before becoming SAPM.

Federal Ombudsman Syed Tahir Shahbaz directed the FGEHA to accommodate all the left-over eligible employees in the second phase.

He directed that housing policy, plans, and other information should be placed on the website of authority and updated regularly for the information of the members.

The ombudsman also directed that all projects which had crossed their completion dates should be completed on a top priority basis. Moreover, the process of allotment of plots should meet the highest standard of transparency.

He was chairing a progress review meeting on all the projects of FGEHA. The press release said the AGEHA director-general assured the ombudsman that the left-over eligible members would be accommodated in the next balloting.

فیڈرل گورنمنٹ ایمپلائز ہاؤسنگ اتھارٹی (FGEHA) نے تسلیم کیا کہ F-14/15 میں پلاٹوں کی الاٹمنٹ کے لیے حالیہ رائے شماری کے دوران "بہت کم" اہل ممبروں کو پلاٹوں کی قلت کی وجہ سے جگہ نہیں مل سکی۔

وفاقی محتسب کے دفتر کی طرف سے جاری پریس ریلیز کے مطابق ، FGEHA کے ڈائریکٹر جنرل نے محتسب کو ایک بریفنگ میں بتایا کہ F-14/15 میں پلاٹوں کی الاٹمنٹ کے لیے ووٹنگ کے دوران ، "Cat-I اور Cat- میں کافی اہل ارکان پلاٹوں کی کمی کی وجہ سے II کو ایڈجسٹ نہیں کیا جا سکا۔

واضح رہے کہ ایف جی ای ایچ اے نے متعدد ججوں کو پلاٹ الاٹ کیے ، اور وزیر اعظم کے دو معاونین جنہوں نے ایس اے پی ایم بننے سے پہلے سرکاری ملازم ہونے پر درخواست دی تھی۔

وفاقی محتسب سید طاہر شہباز نے ایف جی ای ایچ اے کو ہدایت کی کہ دوسرے مرحلے میں باقی تمام مستحق ملازمین کو ایڈجسٹ کیا جائے۔

انہوں نے ہدایت کی کہ ہاؤسنگ پالیسی ، منصوبے اور دیگر معلومات اتھارٹی کی ویب سائٹ پر رکھی جائیں اور اراکین کی معلومات کے لیے باقاعدگی سے اپ ڈیٹ کی جائیں۔

محتسب نے یہ بھی ہدایت کی کہ تمام پراجیکٹس جن کی تکمیل کی تاریخیں عبور ہوچکی ہیں ، کو اولین ترجیحی بنیادوں پر مکمل کیا جائے۔ مزید یہ کہ پلاٹوں کی الاٹمنٹ کا عمل شفافیت کے اعلیٰ معیار پر پورا اترنا چاہیے۔

وہ ایف جی ای ایچ اے کے تمام منصوبوں پر پیش رفت کے جائزہ اجلاس کی صدارت کر رہے تھے۔ پریس ریلیز میں کہا گیا ہے کہ AGEHA کے ڈائریکٹر جنرل نے محتسب کو یقین دہانی کرائی ہے کہ باقیماندہ اہل ممبران کو اگلے ووٹنگ میں جگہ دی جائے گی۔
