No tax on export of goods from Gwadar port: Senate Standing Committee

Spearheaded by Chairman Senator Farooq H. Naek, the committee took up the issue of tax exemptions, linking of Gwadar port with Gulf countries, and the establishment of green channels.

Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Javed Ghani informed the committee that the tax rate on the export cell in Gwadar is zero and only one per cent income tax is levied for the development and prosperity of the region. “Gwadar Free Zone facility has been provided so that exports can be improved and there is no customs duty on exports”, said Ghani.

چیئرمین سینیٹر فاروق ایچ نائک کی سربراہی میں کمیٹی نے ٹیکس چھوٹ ، گوادر بندرگاہ کو خلیجی ممالک کے ساتھ منسلک کرنے اور گرین چینلز کے قیام کا معاملہ اٹھایا۔

چیئرمین فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو (ایف بی آر) جاوید غنی نے کمیٹی کو بتایا کہ گوادر میں ایکسپورٹ سیل پر ٹیکس کی شرح صفر ہے اور اس خطے کی ترقی و خوشحالی کے لئے صرف ایک فیصد انکم ٹیکس عائد کیا جاتا ہے۔ غنی نے کہا ، "گوادر فری زون کی سہولت فراہم کی گئی ہے تاکہ برآمدات میں بہتری لائی جاسکے اور برآمدات پر کسٹم ڈیوٹی نہ ہو"۔
