No cutting of trees to set up housing societies: LHC

While presiding over a meeting at the LHC Multan Bench, he reviewed the orders approved in past to uplift Multan. Chief justice was satisfied over the implementation of the orders and asked for not cutting the trees anymore for the establishment of new housing colonies. Legal actions would be taken for the builders or developers who will be found involved in tree-cutting.

LHC chief justice furthermore stated that they have a responsibility to make the country pollution-free for the coming generation. He stated that “No one can be allowed to pollute the natural environment”

Chief justice said that Multan is known for Mangoes. More Mangoes trees should be planted in Multan City. He then gave an order to plant trees on the area of 46 – Kanalsprovided by the Auqaf Department to Shah Shams Park. The forest department should plant trees in a wide area.

ملتان: لاہور ہائیکورٹ کے چیف جسٹس محمد قاسم خان نے عہدیداروں کو ہدایت کی کہ شہر میں نئی ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں کے قیام کے لئے درختوں کو کاٹنا بند کریں۔

لاہور ہائیکورٹ ملتان بینچ میں اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے ملتان کی ترقی کے لئے ماضی میں منظور شدہ احکامات کا جائزہ لیا۔ چیف جسٹس نے احکامات پر عمل درآمد پر مطمئن ہوکر کہا کہ نئی رہائشی کالونیوں کے قیام کے لئے درختوں کو مزید نہ کاٹنے کے لئے کہا جائے۔ درختوں کی کٹائی میں ملوث پائے جانے والے بلڈروں یا ڈویلپرز کے لئے قانونی کارروائی کی جائے گی۔

لاہور ہائیکورٹ کے چیف جسٹس نے مزید کہا کہ ان کی ذمہ داری ہے کہ وہ آنے والی نسل کو ملک کو آلودگی سے پاک بنائیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ "کسی کو بھی قدرتی ماحول کو آلودہ کرنے کی اجازت نہیں دی جاسکتی ہے"

چیف جسٹس نے کہا کہ ملتان آم کے لئے جانا جاتا ہے۔ شہر میں مزید آم کے درخت لگائے جائیں۔ اس کے بعد انہوں نے شاہ شمس پارک کو محکمہ اوقاف کے ذریعہ فراہم کردہ 46 - کنال کے علاقے پر درخت لگانے کا حکم دیا۔ محکمہ جنگلات کو ایک وسیع رقبے پر درخت لگانے چاہئیں۔
