Islamabad: The next government plans on renegotiating the $6billion IMF loan programme currently to provide the rest of the $3bn in the next six months.
The government will focus on the renegotiation with the IMF for the loan programme which is currently hanging in balance in the wake of a relief package and amnesty scheme for the industrial sector.
Dr. Miftah Ismail informed the news source about this. He further expressed that Pakistan’s finance minister of the new government will hold a meeting with IMF functionaries on April 18 in Washington for the restoration of the $6bn programme. This meeting would be aimed towards getting the remaining $3bn within the next 6 months. This would help in stabilizing the fast depleting reserves and ensure a smooth financial supply from other donor agencies
اسلام آباد: اگلی حکومت آئی ایم ایف کے 6 بلین ڈالر کے قرضہ پروگرام پر دوبارہ بات چیت کرنے کا ارادہ رکھتی ہے تاکہ بقیہ 3 بلین ڈالر اگلے چھ ماہ میں فراہم کیے جائیں۔
حکومت قرضہ پروگرام کے لیے آئی ایم ایف کے ساتھ دوبارہ گفت و شنید پر توجہ دے گی جو صنعتی شعبے کے لیے ریلیف پیکج اور ایمنسٹی اسکیم کے تناظر میں توازن کی وجہ سے اس وقت اپنی جگہ پر قائم ہے۔
ڈاکٹر مفتاح اسماعیل نے اس حوالے سے خبر رساں ادارے کو آگاہ کیا۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ پاکستان کی نئی حکومت کے وزیر خزانہ 18 اپریل کو واشنگٹن میں 6 ارب ڈالر کے پروگرام کی بحالی کے لیے آئی ایم ایف کے حکام کے ساتھ میٹنگ کریں گے۔ اس میٹنگ کا مقصد بقیہ $3 بلین اگلے 6 ماہ کے اندر حاصل کرنا ہے۔ اس سے تیزی سے ختم ہونے والے ذخائر کو مستحکم کرنے میں مدد ملے گی اور دیگر عطیہ دہندگان کی جانب سے مالیاتی فراہمی کو یقینی بنایا جائے گا۔
