New LDA chief engineer to speed up work on projects

Chief Engineer Mazhar Hussain Khan told the scribe that he wanted to speed up the work on the projects and he would ensure the quality of the construction material. He said no compromise would be made on the construction standards in mega projects.

Recently the Punjab government removed LDA Chief Engineer Abdul Razzaq on delay in completion of various development projects and appointed Mazhar Khan as chief engineer. The main purpose of this change was to expedite ongoing development projects in the City, LDA officials said, adding Mazhar Khan had already served as LDA chief engineer and had completed some of the mega projects in the City.

Mazhar Khan said that he would complete the electrification works at the mega project of LDA City on priority while gas-related infrastructure too would be completed as soon as possible.

He said the project of construction of sports complexes in different areas of Lahore would be completed soon. He said various projects related to a patchwork of City roads and provision of missing facilities like streetlights in Johar Town, Gulberg, and other localities would also be completed on a priority basis.

نومنتخب لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (ایل ڈی اے) کے چیف انجینئر نے اپنی نشست کا چارج سنبھال لیا اور صوبائی میٹروپولیس میں جاری مختلف منصوبوں کا دورہ کیا۔

چیف انجینئر مظہر حسین خان نے مصنف کو بتایا کہ وہ منصوبوں پر کام کو تیز کرنا چاہتے ہیں اور وہ تعمیراتی سامان کے معیار کو یقینی بنائیں گے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ میگا پروجیکٹس میں تعمیراتی معیار پر کوئی سمجھوتہ نہیں کیا جائے گا۔

حال ہی میں حکومت پنجاب نے ایل ڈی اے کے چیف انجینئر عبد الرزاق کو مختلف ترقیاتی منصوبوں کی تکمیل میں تا��یر پر ہٹایا اور مظہر خان کو چیف انجینئر مقرر کیا۔ ایل ڈی اے حکام نے بتایا کہ اس تبدیلی کا بنیادی مقصد شہر میں جاری ترقیاتی منصوبوں کو تیز کرنا تھا ، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ مظہر خان پہلے ہی ایل ڈی اے کے چیف انجینئر کی حیثیت سے خدمات انجام دے چکے ہیں اور انہوں نے شہر میں میگا پراجیکٹس میں سے کچھ مکمل کرلیا ہے۔

مظہر خان نے کہا کہ وہ ایل ڈی اے سٹی کے میگا پروجیکٹ میں بجلی کے کام کو ترجیحی طور پر مکمل کریں گے جبکہ گیس سے متعلق بنیادی ڈھانچے کو بھی جلد از جلد مکمل کیا جائے گا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ لاہور کے مختلف علاقوں میں اسپورٹس کمپلیکس کی تعمیر کا منصوبہ جلد مکمل ہوجائے گا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ شہر کی سڑکوں کے پیچ کام اور جوہر ٹاؤن ، گلبرگ اور دیگر علاقوں میں اسٹریٹ لائٹ جیسے لاپتہ سہولیات کی فراہمی سے متعلق مختلف منصوبے بھی ترجیحی بنیادوں پر مکمل کیے جائیں گے۔
