New Housing Societies have been brought into tax net

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab on Information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that new housing societies were being brought into the tax net.

She said that divorced women had been given relief by waiving taxes. She said the government was committed to resolving the public problems regarding tax issues.

Dr. Firdous while condemning the blast in the Johar Town area in Lahore, said the Punjab government would share the details with the media after a complete investigation.    

Addressing a press conference here at District Excise and Taxation Office (DC Office Complex), she said that three people were killed while 24 others sustained injuries in the blast, six of them critical.

She said that Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar had directed the authorities concerned for the treatment of the injured, adding that the victims would be compensated, and all possible relief would be provided to them.

Talking to the media, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said the Excise & Taxation department was playing a significant role in public service delivery as well as improving its performance.

She said that people’s welfare-oriented projects were being completed with the taxes of people, adding that the Pakistan Teheek-e-Insaf (PTI) had given relief to the people by eradicating the corruption.

The department headed by DG Excise & Taxation was making progress, she added.

وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب کے معاون خصوصی برائے اطلاعات ڈاکٹر فردوس عاشق اعوان نے کہا کہ نئی ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں کو ٹیکس کے جال میں لایا جارہا ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ طلاق یافتہ خواتین کو ٹیکس چھوٹ کر ریلیف دیا گیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ حکومت ٹیکس کے معاملات سے متعلق عوامی مسائل کے حل کے لئے پرعزم ہے۔

ڈاکٹر فردوس نے لاہور کے علاقے جوہر ٹاؤن میں ہونے والے دھماکے کی مذمت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ حکومت پنجاب مکمل تحقیقات کے بعد تفصیلات میڈیا کے ساتھ شیئر کرے گی۔

ڈسٹرکٹ ایکسائز اینڈ ٹیکسیشن آفس (ڈی سی آفس کمپلیکس) میں یہاں پریس کانفرنس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے ، انہوں نے کہا کہ دھماکے میں تین افراد ہلاک جبکہ 24 دیگر زخمی ہوگئے ، ان میں سے چھ کی حالت تشویشناک ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب سردار عثمان بزدار نے زخمیوں کے علاج معالجے کے لئے متعلقہ حکام کو ہدایت کی ہے ، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ متاثرین کو معاوضہ دیا جائے گا ، اور انہیں ہر ممکن امداد فراہم کی جائے گی۔

میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے ڈاکٹر فردوس عاشق اعوان نے کہا کہ محکمہ ایکسائز اینڈ ٹیکسیشن عوامی خدمات کی فراہمی کے ساتھ ساتھ اپنی کارکردگی کو بہتر بنانے میں بھی اہم کردار ادا کررہا ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ لوگوں کے ٹیکسوں سے لوگوں کے فلاح و بہبود کے منصوبے مکمل ہورہے ہیں ، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ پاکستان تحریک انصاف نے بدعنوانی کا خاتمہ کرکے لوگوں کو ریلیف دیا ہے۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ڈی جی ایکسائز اینڈ ٹیکسیشن کی سربراہی میں محکمہ ترقی کر رہا ہے۔
