New Gwadar International Airport to become operational from March 23rd, next year

This was announced by Ahsan Iqbal during a meeting held to discuss and finalize the pricing model of fares for airports located in Balochistan. Furthermore, he instructed all the authorities to ensure that the inauguration and shifting of the flight operations from the Old Gwadar Airport to the New Gwadar Airport should take place in March of next year. He said the commencement of the airport on 23^rd march will act as a gift for the people of Balochistan.

It was also announced that there are plans to expand the international flight operations from the Quetta airport this year so Balochistan’s connectivity with the Middle East can be improved.

The completion of this project will mark the completion of one of the major projects falling under the umbrella of CPEC.

اس بات کا اعلان احسن اقبال نے بلوچستان میں واقع ہوائی اڈوں کے کرایوں کے ماڈل پر بات چیت اور اسے حتمی شکل دینے کے لیے منعقدہ اجلاس کے دوران کیا۔ مزید برآں، انہوں نے تمام حکام کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ اس بات کو یقینی بنائیں کہ فلائٹ آپریشن کا افتتاح اور اولڈ گوادر ایئرپورٹ سے نیو گوادر ایئرپورٹ پر اگلے سال مارچ میں ہونا چاہیے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ 23 مارچ کو ہوائی اڈے کا آغاز بلوچستان کے عوام کے لیے ایک تحفہ ہوگا۔
یہ بھی اعلان کیا گیا کہ رواں سال کوئٹہ ایئرپورٹ سے بین الاقوامی فلائٹ آپریشنز کو وسعت دینے کا منصوبہ ہے تاکہ بلوچستان کا مشرق وسطیٰ سے رابطہ بہتر بنایا جا سکے۔
اس منصوبے کی تکمیل CPEC کی چھتری کے نیچے آنے والے بڑے منصوبوں میں سے ایک کی تکمیل کا نشان بنے گی۔
