Modern City Near Lahore - Govt Announces Massive Project

According to the news sources, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to establish a new modern city near Lahore.

In a press conference at the office of Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) here on Wednesday, sharing details regarding the new city, the SAPM said that 1900 flats, six schools, and a modern industrial zone would be established in the new city. Saudi investor Khalid bin Abdul Aziz was also present at the occasion.

A renowned Saudi Real Estate Company has been agreed to make an investment of about US $ 600 million in this sector for developing the entire industrial zone near Ravi.

While talking to the media, Gill said that’’ we welcome the Saudi brothers' investment in our land. These projects will be owned by the Punjab government after 10 years, he revealed, adding that foreign participation in such projects will strengthen the country's economy and we will not have to take loans from outside. He, along with the Saudi investor, said that the project will be inaugurated in January 2022’’.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق وزیراعظم کے معاون خصوصی برائے سیاسی رابطے شہباز گل نے کہا کہ وزیراعظم عمران خان نے لاہور کے قریب ایک نیا جدید شہر بنانے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔
بدھ کو یہاں راوی اربن ڈیولپمنٹ اتھارٹی (آر یو ڈی اے) کے دفتر میں ایک پریس کانفرنس میں، نئے شہر کے بارے میں تفصیلات بتاتے ہوئے، (ایس اے پی ایم) نے کہا کہ نئے شہر میں 1900 فلیٹس، چھ اسکول اور ایک جدید صنعتی زون قائم کیا جائے گا۔ اس موقع پر سعودی سرمایہ کار خالد بن عبدالعزیز بھی موجود تھے۔
ایک معروف سعودی رئیل اسٹیٹ کمپنی راوی کے قریب پورے صنعتی زون کی ترقی کے لیے اس شعبے میں تقریباً 600 ملین امریکی ڈالر کی سرمایہ کاری کرنے پر رضامند ہو گئی ہے۔
میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے گل کا کہنا تھا کہ ’’ہم اپنی سرزمین میں سعودی بھائیوں کی سرمایہ کاری کا خیرمقدم کرتے ہیں۔ یہ منصوبے 10 سال بعد پنجاب حکومت کی ملکیت ہوں گے، انہوں نے انکشاف کیا کہ ایسے منصوبوں میں غیر ملکی شرکت سے ملکی معیشت مضبوط ہوگی اور ہمیں باہر سے قرضہ لینے کی ضرورت نہیں پڑے گی۔ انہوں نے سعودی سرمایہ کار کے ساتھ مل کر کہا کہ اس منصوبے کا افتتاح جنوری 2022 میں کیا جائے گا۔
