Minister wants rules for land-use, building bylaws implemented

According to the news sources, while addressing a briefing on land use and building bylaws of PDA. Minister said, “The PDA must also meet environmental requirements, including open spaces inside and outside residential and commercial buildings, to maintain a clean and healthy environment for the people,”

Faisal Amin Gandapur said that proper parking facilities were needed in all buildings side by side with the wide roads and streets so that traffic problems can be effectively eliminated.

During his briefing, He clarified that in townships, maximum arrangement for ventilation, sunlight, and open space inside buildings and modern sanitation and drainage system was required to make these residences successful in all aspects.

“The use of modern technology also makes urban development easier and more comfortable,” he maintained.

The minister expressed satisfaction that all the Urban Development Authorities in the province, including the PDA, had formulated and implemented unambiguous building bylaws, rules, and regulations in this regard. He hoped that the government agencies along with the authorities and owners of townships would strictly abide by the laws of land use and buildings construction.

He further added that “All our townships should be in harmony with the requirements of nature and have a healthy environment,” he said that violations of these building bylaws were subject to heavy fines at various rates, which were strictly enforced.

وزیر نے اس بات پر اطمینان کا اظہار کیا کہ پی ڈی اے سمیت صوبے کی تمام اربن ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹیز نے اس سلسلے میں غیر مبہم بلڈنگ بائی لاز، رولز اور ریگولیشنز بنائے ہیں اور ان پر عمل درآمد کیا ہے۔ انہوں نے امید ظاہر کی کہ سرکاری ادارے حکام اور ٹاؤن شپ کے مالکان کے ساتھ زمین کے استعمال اور عمارتوں کی تعمیر کے قوانین کی سختی سے پابندی کریں گے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ "ہماری تمام بستیوں کو فطرت کے تقاضوں کے مطابق ہونا چاہیے اور ان کا ماحول صحت مند ہونا چاہیے،" انہوں نے کہا کہ ان بلڈنگ بائی لاز کی خلاف ورزی پر مختلف شرحوں پر بھاری جرمانے عائد کیے جاتے ہیں، جن پر سختی سے عمل درآمد کیا جاۓگا.
