Metro Bus Service to New Islamabad Airport to start from next month

According to the news sources, The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday announced that a trial run of Metro Bus Service to the Islamabad International Airport will be undertaken during the first week of next month.

A spokesman of CDA said that third-party inspection of buses purchased for the project has been completed in China. In the first phase, at least 15 buses painted in orange color would be dispatched to Pakistan by March 15 and will arrive in Islamabad within 20 days.

According to the details, the official said regular metro bus service from Peshawar Mor to Islamabad International Airport will start between April 15 and 20. In all, 30 buses would run on the route having the last station near Chungi No. 26 before the Islamabad Airport. "It will improve considerably the transport system in the federal capital," he said. Previously, the authority had announced to start bus service operation on March 23 but the same was delayed due to some unavoidable circumstances.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق کیپٹل ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (سی ڈی اے) نے جمعرات کو اعلان کیا ہے کہ اسلام آباد انٹرنیشنل ایئرپورٹ تک میٹرو بس سروس کا آزمائشی رن اگلے ماہ کے پہلے ہفتے میں شروع کیا جائے گا۔
سی ڈی اے کے ترجمان نے بتایا کہ چین میں منصوبے کے لیے خریدی گئی بسوں کا تھرڈ پارٹی معائنہ مکمل کر لیا گیا ہے۔ پہلے مرحلے میں نارنجی رنگ کی کم از کم 15 بسیں 15 مارچ تک پاکستان روانہ کی جائیں گی اور 20 دن میں اسلام آباد پہنچ جائیں گی۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق اہلکار نے بتایا کہ پشاور موڑ سے اسلام آباد انٹرنیشنل ایئرپورٹ تک باقاعدہ میٹرو بس سروس 15 سے 20 اپریل کے درمیان شروع ہو جائے گی، اسلام آباد ایئرپورٹ سے پہلے چونگی نمبر 26 کے قریب آخری سٹیشن والے روٹ پر مجموعی طور پر 30 بسیں چلیں گی۔ . انہوں نے کہا کہ اس سے وفاقی دارالحکومت میں ٹرانسپورٹ کے نظام میں کافی بہتری آئے گی۔ اس سے قبل اتھارٹی نے 23 مارچ کو بس سروس شروع کرنے کا اعلان کیا تھا لیکن بعض ناگزیر حالات کی وجہ سے اس میں تاخیر ہوئی۔
