Metro bus service operations to be handed over to a private company by CDA

The board meeting was chaired by the CDA Chairman Aamer Ali Ahmed, during which a contract was awarded to the national logistics cell (NLC) for the construction of the bus station on the routes of the Green and Blue Line Metro Bus services.

Amidst the meeting, the construction of segregated tracks for both buses was awarded to the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) under Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules. A summary of the consultancy for public transport was also presented during the meeting.

Furthermore, the board was directed to revise the summary presented in the meeting and deliver it at the next board meeting. During this meeting, several different projects were taken under consideration which then received approval as well.

Added to that, the beautification work of the Islamabad Orange Line metro bus service from Peshawar Morr to the New Islamabad Airport is also underway.

میٹنگ کے درمیان، پبلک پروکیورمنٹ ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی (PPRA) قوانین کے تحت دونوں بسوں کے لیے الگ الگ ٹریکس کی تعمیر کا کام فرنٹیئر ورکس آرگنائزیشن (FWO) کو دیا گیا۔ اجلاس میں پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ کے لیے کنسلٹنسی کی سمری بھی پیش کی گئی۔
مزید برآں، بورڈ کو ہدایت کی گئی کہ وہ اجلاس میں پیش کی گئی سمری پر نظر ثانی کرے اور اسے بورڈ کے اگلے اجلاس میں پیش کرے۔ اس میٹنگ کے دوران کئی مختلف پراجیکٹس زیر غور آئے جن کی منظوری بھی مل گئی۔
اس کے ساتھ ساتھ پشاور موڑ سے نیو اسلام آباد ایئرپورٹ تک اسلام آباد اورنج لائن میٹرو بس سروس کی خوبصورتی کا کام بھی جاری ہے۔
