MDA offers amnesty scheme for schools in illegal buildings

The DG announced the regularization of buildings of all educational institutions on residential plots under the Punjab Development Authority Land Use Classification, Reclassification, and Redevelopment Rules of 2021.

Speaking with the news agencies, he said the owners whose buildings of educational institutions are not declared commercial by the MDA can get their illegal and non-commercial educational buildings regularised. They can submit applications at e-Service Centre, Mati Til Road. Details of the required documents can be obtained from the MDA head office or the MDA website.

He said the MDA was providing facilities to the owners to pay the government dues in a lump sum or in installments. They will also get a 5pc discount on a one-time payment of government dues. The buildings of the owners who do not avail of this facility provided by the government will be sealed and strict legal action will be taken under sections (i) 37 and section (i) 39 of the Punjab Development Cities Act, 1976.

ڈی جی نے پنجاب ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی لینڈ یوز کلاسیفیکیشن، ری کلاسیفیکیشن اور ری ڈیولپمنٹ رولز 2021 کے تحت رہائشی پلاٹوں پر تمام تعلیمی اداروں کی عمارتوں کو ریگولرائز کرنے کا اعلان کیا۔
خبر رساں اداروں سے بات کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہا کہ جن مالکان کے تعلیمی اداروں کی عمارتوں کو ایم ڈی اے نے کمرشل قرار نہیں دیا ہے وہ اپنی غیر قانونی اور غیر تجارتی تعلیمی عمارتوں کو ریگولرائز کروا سکتے ہیں۔ وہ ای-سروس سنٹر، مٹی تل روڈ پر درخواستیں جمع کر سک��ے ہیں۔ مطلوبہ دستاویزات کی تفصیلات ایم ڈی اے ہیڈ آفس یا ایم ڈی اے کی ویب سائٹ سے حاصل کی جا سکتی ہیں۔
انہوں نے کہا کہ ایم ڈی اے مالکان کو سرکاری واجبات یکمشت یا قسطوں میں ادا کرنے کی سہولیات فراہم کر رہا ہے۔ انہیں سرکاری واجبات کی ایک بار ادائیگی پر 5پی سی کی رعایت بھی ملے گی۔ حکومت کی طرف سے فراہم کردہ اس سہولت سے استفادہ نہ کرنے والے مالکان کی عمارتوں کو سیل کر دیا جائے گا اور پنجاب ڈویلپمنٹ سٹیز ایکٹ 1976 کے سیکشن (آئ) 37 اور سیکشن (آئ) 39 کے تحت سخت قانونی کارروائی کی جائے گی۔
