Margalla Avenue may open by end of January: PM Shehbaz Sharif

The remaining minor work is currently being done, and more than 90% of the work has already been finished. The process will be finished in a week and includes the installation of asphalt as well.

The 10.4-kilometer-long road from GT Road to D-12, which is being built at a cost of Rs 2 billion, was meant to be finished in June of last year, according to PC-I.

The portion of Margalla Road covered by the aforementioned contract runs from Grand Trunk Road to D-12, where it will be connected to Khayaban-e-Iqbal when an interchange and a minor section of 11th Avenue have been built.

The project, which costs about Rs3.9 billion and includes an interchange and five culverts in E-11, is planned to be finished in six months.

After it is finished, Margalla Avenue will serve as a direct route for traffic to and from GT Road.

مذکورہ کنٹریکٹ میں شامل مارگلہ روڈ کا حصہ گرینڈ ٹرنک روڈ سے ڈی-12 تک چلتا ہے، جہاں ایک انٹرچینج اور 11 ویں ایونیو کا ایک معمولی سیکشن تعمیر ہونے پر اسے خیابانِ اقبال سے ملایا جائے گا۔
یہ منصوبہ جس کی لاگت تقریباً 3.9 بلین روپے ہے اور اس میں ای-11 میں ایک انٹرچینج اور پانچ کلورٹس شامل ہیں، چھ ماہ میں مکمل ہونے کا منصوبہ ہے۔
اس کے مکمل ہونے کے بعد، مارگلہ ایونیو جی ٹی روڈ جانے اور جانے والی ٹریفک کے لیے براہ راست راستے کے طور پر کام کرے گا۔
