Malaysia keen to boost trade with Pakistan

According to the news sources, to boost bilateral trade and economic relations between Pakistan and Malaysia, the business community of KP has urged the concerned authorities to simplify the visa-issuance process.

On Monday, in a meeting with the High Commission of Malaysia Charge D’ Affairs Deddy Faisal Ahmad Salleh, the traders called for reaping complete benefits of the free trade agreement (FTA) that was signed between the two countries.

According to the details, the collaboration between Pakistan and Malaysia can enhance the share of the two countries in the international Halal food market, they stressed.

Responding to different queries of SCCI members, Salleh said that Malaysia was keen to boost trade and economic relations with Pakistan. He stated that mutual trade volume between the two brotherly countries had improved in the past two years owing to the signing of the free trade agreement (FTA).

The Malaysian High Commission in Pakistan would soon launch an e-visa facility to enable online issuance of visas which would resolve the problems of the business community, informed the diplomat. He highlighted that his country had taken pragmatic steps to facilitate foreign investors at every level.

پیر کو، ملائیشیا کے ہائی کمیشن کے چارج ڈی افیئرز ڈیڈی فیصل احمد صالح سے ملاقات میں، تاجروں نے دونوں ممالک کے درمیان طے پانے والے آزاد تجارتی معاہدے (ایف ٹی اے) کے مکمل فوائد حاصل کرنے پر زور دیا۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق پاکستان اور ملائیشیا کے درمیان تعاون بین الاقوامی حلال فوڈ مارکیٹ میں دونوں ممالک کا حصہ بڑھ سکتا ہے۔
ایس سی سی آئی کے اراکین کے مختلف سوالات کے جواب میں صالح نے کہا کہ ملائیشیا پاکستان کے ساتھ تجارتی اور اقتصادی تعلقات کو فروغ دینے کا خواہاں ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ آزاد تجارتی معاہدے (ایف ٹی اے) پر دستخط کی وجہ سے دونوں برادر ممالک کے درمیان گزشتہ دو سالوں میں باہمی تجارتی حجم میں بہتری آئی ہے۔
سفارت کار نے بتایا کہ پاکستان میں ملائیشین ہائی کمیشن جلد ہی ویزوں کے آن لائن اجراء کے لیے ای ویزا کی سہولت شروع کرے گا جس سے کاروباری برادری کے مسائل حل ہوں گے۔ انہوں نے روشنی ڈالی کہ ان کے ملک نے غیر ملکی سرمایہ کاروں کو ہر سطح پر سہولت فراہم کرنے کے لیے عملی اقدامات کیے ہیں۔
