LPG air-mix plant Gilgit Baltistan to set up in 6 months

According to the news sources, After the grant of extension in construction license by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) is expected to start the gas supplies from the plant within six months.

The minister also agreed to increase the LPG supply for Gilgit-Baltistan at the demand of Chief Minister GB. It will help reduce the LPG cylinder price in GB and will be a great relief for the people.

According to the details, Hammad Azhar expressed his resolve to invest in power sector infrastructure in Gilgit Baltistan to ensure connectivity of the region with the national grid.

He further added that this will revolutionize the power supply and increase the tourism sector of GB in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Further, the minister recommended for Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) and Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) to undertake the solarization of impoverished households in GB under their Community Social Responsibility (CSR) projects.

During the meeting, Khalid Khursheed appreciated the energy sector reforms undertaken by the government and thanked the minister for his positive response to his requests. He lauded the keen interest shown by the minister for the development of the region and the people of GB.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق آئل اینڈ گیس ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی (اوگرا) کی جانب سے تعمیراتی لائسنس میں توسیع کے بعد سوئی ناردرن گیس پائپ لائنز لمیٹڈ (ایس این جی پی ایل) کی جانب سے پلانٹ سے 6 ماہ میں گیس کی سپلائی شروع کرنے کا امکان ہے۔
وزیر اعلیٰ گلگت بلتستان کے مطالبے پر گلگت بلتستان کے لیے ایل پی جی سپلائی بڑھانے پر بھی رضامند ہوئے۔ اس سے جی بی میں ایل پی جی سلنڈر کی قیمت کو کم کرنے میں مدد ملے گی اور لوگوں کے لیے بڑا ریلیف ہوگا۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق حماد اظہر نے گلگت بلتستان میں پاور سیکٹر کے انفراسٹرکچر میں سرمایہ کاری کرنے کے عزم کا اظہار کیا تاکہ خطے کا نیشنل گرڈ سے رابطہ یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اس سے بجلی کی فراہمی میں انقلاب آئے گا اور وزیر اعظم عمران خان کے ویژن کے مطابق جی بی کے سیاحت کے شعبے میں اضافہ ہوگا۔
مزید، وزیر نے آئل اینڈ گیس ڈویلپمنٹ کمپنی لمیٹڈ (او جی ڈی سی ایل) اور پاکستان پیٹرولیم لمیٹڈ (پی پی ایل) کو اپنے کمیونٹی سماجی ذمہ داری (سی ایس آر) منصوبوں کے تحت جی بی میں غریب گھرانوں کی سولرائزیشن شروع کرنے کی سفارش کی۔
ملاقات کے دوران خالد خورشید نے حکومت کی جانب سے توانائی کے شعبے میں کی گئی اصلاحات کو سراہا اور ان کی درخواستوں پر مثبت جواب دینے پر وزیر کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ انہوں نے خطہ اور جی بی کے عوام کی ترقی کے لیے وزیر کی طرف سے دکھائی دینے والی گہری دلچسپی کو سراہا۔
