Looking forward to inaugurate projects KTP for benefit of Karachiites: PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan directed the officials to ensure completion of all projects under the Karachi Transformation Plan (KTP) within the timelines, stating that he was keen to inaugurate the projects as soon as possible for the benefit of the residents of the metropolis.

Imran, during a visit to the provincial capital, chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing development projects under the KTP. He also received briefings on the status of work on the projects, including restoration of drains, provision of potable water and transport projects, etc.

The meeting was attended by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Planning Minister Asad Umar, Railways Minister Azam Swati, Maritime Affairs Minister Syed Ali Zaidi, Defence Production Minister Zubaida Jalal, and senior government officials.

Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister stressed that the early completion of federal government projects in Karachi, and the early launching of the newly announced schemes were among the government’s key priorities.

Speaking on the occasion, Imran said the installation of the system was an effective use of technology to earn foreign exchange. He paid tribute to the Pakistan Navy for the launch of the system, which he said, would prove fruitful in generating economic activity.

Imran said that the government was focusing on the promotion of exports, encourage overseas Pakistanis to increase remittances, and attract foreign investment. “Efforts are afoot to check money laundering to stop loss to the national exchequer.”

کراچی: عمران خان نے کہا کہ وہ کراچی والوں کے فائدے کے لیے کے ٹی پی منصوبوں کا افتتاح کرنے کے خواہشمند ہیں۔

وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے عہدیداروں کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ کراچی ٹرانسفارمیشن پلان (کے ٹی پی) کے تحت تمام منصوبوں کو مقررہ وقت میں مکمل کریں ، اور کہا کہ وہ شہر کے رہائشیوں کے فائدے کے لیے جلد از جلد منصوبوں کا افتتاح کرنے کے خواہاں ہیں۔

عمران نے صوبائی دارالحکومت کے دورے کے دوران کے ٹی پی کے تحت جاری ترقیاتی منصوبوں کی پیش رفت کا جائزہ لینے کے لیے ایک اجلاس کی صدارت کی۔ انہوں نے منصوبوں پر کام کی صورتحال کے بارے میں بریفنگ بھی حاصل کی ، جن میں نالوں کی بحالی ، پینے کے پانی کی فراہمی اور ٹرانسپورٹ کے منصوبے وغیرہ شامل ہیں۔

اجلاس میں گورنر سندھ عمران اسماعیل ، وزیر منصوبہ بندی اسد عمر ، وزیر ریلوے اعظم سواتی ، بحری امور کے وزیر سید علی زیدی ، وزیر دفاعی پیداوار زبیدہ جلال اور اعلیٰ حکومتی حکام نے شرکت کی۔

اس موقع پر خطاب کرتے ہوئے وزیر اعظم نے زور دیا کہ کراچی میں وفاقی حکومت کے منصوبوں کی جلد تکمیل اور نئی اعلان کردہ سکیموں کا جلد آغاز حکومت کی اہم ترجیحات میں شامل ہے۔

اس موقع پر خطاب کرتے ہوئے عمران نے کہا کہ نظام کی تنصیب غیر ملکی زرمبادلہ کمانے کے لیے ٹیکنالوجی کا موثر استعمال ہے۔ انہوں نے پاک بحریہ کو اس نظام کے اجراء پر خراج تحسین پیش کیا جو کہ ان کے بقول معاشی سرگرمیاں پیدا کرنے میں نتیجہ خیز ثابت ہوگا۔

عمران نے کہا کہ حکومت برآمدات کے فروغ ، بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانیوں کو ترسیلات زر بڑھانے اور غیر ملکی سرمایہ کاری کو راغب کرنے پر توجہ دے رہی ہے۔ قومی خزانے کو ہونے والے نقصان کو روکنے کے لیے منی لانڈرنگ کو روکنے کی کوششیں جاری ہیں۔
