LDA fails to complete its ongoing developmental projects

The delay has been faced by both, ongoing and new projects which are still waiting for approval. At present, three mega projects were under construction in the provincial capital while many projects have been pending approval.  

It was revealed that currently, LDA has been focusing on rehabilitating and constructing small roads within the constituencies of Lahore where the recent by-polls were held. The areas of Lahore subjected to the construction of roads included Johar Town, Township, and adjacent localities. LDA’s shift toward the reconstruction of these roads caused the sudden pause within the mega projects which were nearing their completion. The projects facing delay currently include the Sheranwala flyover, Shahkam Chowk flyover, and Gulab Devi underpass. The projects awaiting approval includes the construction of sports complexes, the Arena Centre in Johar Town, and the Aik Moriya Bridge extension project.

لاہور: گزشتہ چند ماہ کے دوران صوبائی دارالحکومت میں جاری ترقیاتی منصوبوں میں شدید تاخیر کا سامنا ہے۔
تاخیر کا سامنا جاری اور نئے دونوں منصوبوں سے ہوا ہے جو ابھی تک منظوری کے منتظر ہیں۔ صوبائی دارالحکومت میں اس وقت تین میگا پراجیکٹس زیر تعمیر ہیں جبکہ کئی منصوبے منظوری کے منتظر ہیں۔
یہ انکشاف ہوا کہ اس وقت ایل ڈی اے لاہور کے ان حلقوں کے اندر چھوٹی سڑکوں کی بحالی اور تعمیر پر توجہ دے رہا ہے جہاں حالیہ ضمنی انتخابات ہوئے تھے۔ لاہور کے جن علاقوں میں سڑکیں تعمیر کی گئیں ان میں جوہر ٹاؤن، ٹاؤن شپ اور ملحقہ علاقے شامل ہیں۔ ایل ڈی اے کی جانب سے ان سڑکوں کی تعمیر نو کی وجہ سے ان میگا پراجیکٹس میں اچانک تعطل پیدا ہوا جو کہ تکمیل کے قریب تھے۔ اس وقت تاخیر کا شکار منصوبوں میں شیرانوالہ فلائی اوور، شاہ کام چوک فلائی اوور اور گلاب دیوی انڈر پاس شامل ہیں۔ منظوری کے منتظر منصوبوں میں اسپورٹس کمپلیکس کی تعمیر، جوہر ٹاؤن میں ایرینا سینٹر اور ایک موریہ پل کی توسیع کا منصوبہ شامل ہے۔
