Launch of the Orange Line, Islamabad Airport Metro faces further delays

A huge loss has been experienced by the government in terms of subsidies due to these interferences. The civic body of Islamabad took the decision of diverting the 15 orange line buses to the blue and green lines which were inaugurated last week.

It was revealed that the launch will be further delayed since the trials for the elevators, escalators, and automatic glass doors are yet to be performed by the contractor for infrastructure. All these elements of the bus stations are currently non-functional.

Added to that, the schedule for the Airport Metro Bus service has been altered by the Capital Development Authority. The reason for this has been described to be business related tussles, between the operator of the Rawalpindi-Islamabad metro bus service and the operator of the airport metro.

یہ انکشاف ہوا کہ لانچ میں مزید تاخیر ہو جائے گی کیونکہ انفراسٹرکچر کے لیے کنٹریکٹر کے ذریعے ایلیویٹرز، ایسکلیٹرز اور خودکار شیشے کے دروازوں کے لیے ٹرائلز ہونا باقی ہیں۔ بس اسٹیشنوں کے یہ تمام عناصر اس وقت غیر فعال ہیں۔
اس کے علاوہ کیپٹل ڈیولپمنٹ اتھارٹی نے ایئرپورٹ میٹرو بس سروس کے شیڈول میں تبدیلی کی ہے۔ اس کی وجہ راولپنڈی اسلام آباد میٹرو بس سروس کے آپریٹر اور ایئرپورٹ میٹرو کے آپریٹر کے درمیان کاروبار سے متعلق جھگڑا بتایا گیا ہے۔
