Lahore to transform into a Smart City

According to details, the Punjab government has been making efforts since last year to make Lahore a smart city on which the Local Bodies Department and Punjab Information and Technology Board are working together.

Under the Smart City project, Lahore will be equipped with technology. Under the new system, other measures will be taken including the installation of air quality sensors, waste bin sensors, and street light sensors in the city.

Electric machines will be installed at the parking stand in Lahore for parking fees while real-time monitoring and management of smart city applications will be made possible. Under this project, Lahore will be transferred to technology in an international style. Punjab Local Bodies Department and PIT Board have estimated Rs. 85crore for the completion of the project.

لاہور کو سمارٹ سٹی بنانے کی تیاریاں، محکمہ بلدیات پنجاب اور پی آئی ٹی بورڈ نے 85 کروڑ کا تخمینہ لگا لیا، پارکنگ سٹینڈ سمیت شہر میں سنسر سٹریٹ لائٹس کی تنصیب کی جائے گی۔

تفصیلات کے مطابق پنجاب حکومت کی لاہور کو سمارٹ سٹی بنانے کیلئے گزشتہ سال سےکوششیں جاری جس پرمحکمہ بلدیات اور پنجاب انفارمیشن اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی بورڈ مل کرکام کررہے ہیں، سمارٹ سٹی منصوبے کے تحت لاہور کو ٹیکنالوجی سے آراستہ کیا جائے گا۔ نئے نظام کے تحت شہر میں ایئر کوالٹی سنسرز کی تنصیب، ویسٹ بن سنسرز اور سٹریٹ لائٹ سنسرز سمیت دیگر اقدامات کیے جائیں گے۔

لاہور میں پارکنگ سٹینڈ پر پارکنگ فیس کیلئے الیکٹرک مشینیں نصب کی جائیں گی جبکہ سمارٹ سٹی ایپلی کیشنز کی ریئل ٹائم مانیٹرنگ اور مینجمنٹ ممکن بنائی جائیگی، اس منصوبے کے تحت بین الاقوامی طرز پر لاہور کو ٹیکنالوجی کی طرف منتقل کیا جائے گا۔ محکمہ بلدیات پنجاب اور پی آئی ٹی بورڈ نے منصوبے کی تکمیل کیلئے85 کروڑ کا تخمینہ لگا لیا ہے۔
