In this regard, a total number of approved projects are 19 which are mostly related to Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA), Traffic Engineering & Planning Agency (TEPA), and local government and community development.
Saleha Saeed herself chaired a District Development Committee meeting in this regard. During the meeting, she directed all relevant officials, members and executing agencies to take pictures of respective development projects and highlight the changes that are being made through these infrastructural expansions. In addition to it, she conveyed that it was required of all Assistant Commissioners to keep a check on the construction and development sites and also make occasional visits for inspection purposes. Also, ADC Finance and planning offices were to be kept in the loop and updated regularly.
Assistant Director Development besides enlisting two sewerage schemes of WASA also presented more than 15 projects which are proposed by TEPA. These focus on the development of Portland cement concrete (PCC) streets or better known as rigid pavements that have a PCC slab supported by a granular or stabilized base and an additional sub-base.
