Lahore development authority razed several buildings

According to the news sources, this operation was conducted on Tuesday on the directions of LDA’s Chief Town Planner (CTP) Tahir Mayo. officials said, adding Director Town Planning Zone IV Asad Zaman headed the operation.  According to the news sources, this grand operation has been taken place against illegal constructions in Johar Town, Defence Road, Pine Avenue, Khayaban Jinnah, and UMT Road during which 17 illegal buildings were sealed and demolished.

LDA team of TP Zone IV demolished an under-construction illegal basement based on UMT Road and an illegal residential construction located behind Taqwa Mosque was sealed. While talking to the media they mentioned illegal shops in plot 50A-1 PIA Society were demolished, illegal constructions on plots 242, 243, and 244 Block C, PIA Society were demolished and two illegal state offices located on Pine Avenue Scheme were sealed. They said an illegal restaurant was also sealed on the road.

According to the news sources, an illegal fence at Qadir Chowk was demolished and temporary shops selling fruits, vegetables, and meat were razed. The Office of a property dealer was sealed while shops on plot 46C in PCSIR Society were also sealed. An under-construction building on plot 22R of Johar Town was demolished while an illegal cafe in Johar Town and a residential building in Johar Town were also sealed, they added.

While talking to the media, Lahore development authority CTP Tahir mayo said the authority will continue its operation against illegal constructions without any discernment. The construction of the building will not be allowed before approval of maps and other requirements, he added.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق یہ کارروائی منگل کو ایل ڈی اے کے چیف ٹاؤن پلانر (سی ٹی پی) طاہر میو کی ہدایت پر کی گئی۔ حکام نے بتایا کہ ڈائریکٹر ٹاؤن پلاننگ زون 4 اسد زمان نے آپریشن کی سربراہی کی۔ نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق یہ گرینڈ آپریشن جوہر ٹاؤن، ڈیفنس روڈ، پائین ایونیو، خیابان جناح اور یو ایم ٹی روڈ میں غیر قانونی تعمیرات کے خلاف کیا گیا جس کے دوران 17 غیر قانونی عمارتوں کو سیل کر کے مسمار کر دیا گیا۔
ٹی پی زون 4 کی ایل ڈی اے ٹیم نے یو ایم ٹی روڈ پر ایک زیر تعمیر غیر قانونی تہہ خانے کو مسمار کر دیا اور تقویٰ مسجد کے پیچھے واقع ایک غیر قانونی رہائشی تعمیر کو سیل کر دیا گیا۔ میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے بتایا کہ (پی آئ اے) سوسائٹی کے پلاٹ 50(اے-1) میں غیر قانونی دکانیں مسمار کر دی گئیں، (پی آئ اے) سوسائٹی کے پلاٹ 242، 243 اور 244 بلاک سی پر غیر قانونی تعمیرات مسمار کر دی گئیں اور پائن ایونیو سکیم پر واقع دو غیر قانونی سرکاری دفاتر کو سیل کر دیا گیا۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ سڑک پر ایک غیر قانونی ریسٹورنٹ کو بھی سیل کر دیا گیا ہے۔
نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق قادر چوک پر غیر قانونی باڑ مسمار کر کے پھل، سبزی اور گوشت فروخت کرنے والی عارضی دکانیں مسمار کر دی گئیں۔ پراپرٹی ڈیلر کا دفتر سیل کر دیا گیا جبکہ(پی سی ایس آئ آر-46) سوسائٹی میں پلاٹ 46(سی) پر دکانیں بھی سیل کر دی گئیں۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ جوہر ٹاؤن کے پلاٹ 22 آر پر ایک زیر تعمیر عمارت کو مسمار کر دیا گیا جبکہ جوہر ٹاؤن میں ایک غیر قانونی کیفے اور جوہر ٹاؤن میں ایک رہائشی عمارت کو بھی سیل کر دیا گیا۔
میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی سی ٹی پی طاہر میو نے کہا کہ اتھارٹی بغیر کسی تفریق کے غیر قانونی تعمیرات کے خلاف اپنا آپریشن جاری رکھے گی۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ نقشوں اور دیگر ضروریات کی منظوری سے قبل عمارت کی تعمیر کی اجازت نہیں دی جائے گی۔
