KP raises daily-wage employees’ monthly salaries

The increase was made after Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan approved a proposal related to it, raising the salaries of the daily wage employees. The salaries after the approval have been increased to Rs21,000 from Rs17,000, witnessing an increase by Rs. 4,000.

Earlier on Thursday last, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar approved a 25 percent special allowance for the government employees of grades 1 to 19.

The chief minister announced that the increment will be applicable from June, and only those who have previously not received allowances will be eligible.

“The decision has been taken in order to reduce the pay gap among government employees working in different departments and improve their economic condition,” wrote Buzdar.

Earlier in February, the federal government also approved a 25 percent increase in the salaries of protesting employees from grade 1 to 19 on a temporary basis.

The finance division agreed that the posts of BPS 1 to 16 or equivalent will be upgraded on the pattern of the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with effect from 01 March 2021.

It also agreed that the grant of time-scale promotions will be considered for adoption on the same pattern in the next budget.

یہ اضافہ وزیر اعلی خیبر پختونخواہ محمود خان کی جانب سے یومیہ اجرت ملازمین کی تنخواہوں میں اضافے سے متعلق ایک تجویز کی منظوری کے بعد کیا گیا ہے۔ منظوری کے بعد تنخواہوں میں 21،000 روپے اضافہ کرکے 21000 روپے کردیا گیا ہے ، جس میں ایک ہزار روپے اضافے کا مشاہدہ کیا گیا ہے-

اس سے قبل گذشتہ جمعرات کو وزیر اعلی پنجاب عثمان بزدار نے گریڈ 1 سے 19 کے سرکاری ملازمین کے لئے 25 فیصد خصوصی الاؤنس کی منظوری دی تھی۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے اعلان کیا کہ انکریمنٹ کا اطلاق جون سے ہوگا ، اور صرف وہی اہل ہوں گے جنہوں نے پہلے بھتے وصول نہیں کیے تھے۔

بزدار نے لکھا ، "یہ فیصلہ مختلف محکموں میں کام کرنے والے سرکاری ملازمین میں تنخواہوں کے فرق کو کم کرنے اور ان کی معاشی حالت کو بہتر بنانے کے لئے لیا گیا ہے۔"

اس سے قبل فروری میں ، وفاقی حکومت نے بھی عارضی بنیادوں پر گریڈ 1 سے 19 تک احتجاج کرنے والے ملازمین کی تنخواہوں میں 25 فیصد اضافے کی منظوری دی تھی۔

فنانس ڈویژن نے اتفاق کیا کہ بی پی ایس 1 سے 16 یا اس کے مساوی عہدوں کو 01 مارچ 2021 ء سے خیبرپختونخوا حکومت کی طرز پر اپ گریڈ کیا جائے گا۔

اس میں بھی اتفاق ہوا کہ آئندہ بجٹ میں اسی طرز پر اپنانے کے لئے وقتی پیمانے پر ترقیوں کی گرانٹ پر غور کیا جائے گا۔
