KP govt signs agreement to execute Swat Motorway Phase-II

The agreement signing ceremony was held here with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan as chief guest wherein the high ups of PKHA and the concerned construction company signed the agreement.  

According to the details, Advisor to KP CM on Communications and Works Riaz Khan, Chief Secretary Shehzad Bangash, and other concerned high-ups attended the ceremony. 

According to the news sources, the 80km long Swat Motorway Phase-II will be constructed on Public-Private Partnership mode at a total worth of Rs37 billion.  This motorway will start from Chakdara and culminate at Madyan Fatehpur. Initially, this motorway will have four lanes extendable to six lanes in the future. 

According to the details, the corridor will have 9 interchanges including Chakdara interchange, Shomozai, Barikot, Mingora, Kanju, Malam-Jabba University of Swat, Sher Palam, Matta-Khwaza Khela, and Madyan-Fatehpur interchanges. Moreover, eight main bridges will be constructed at different sites of river Swat.

Besides, four rest areas will also be part of the project whereas link highways will be provided where needed.

While directing the ceremony he further added that the Chief Minister termed the Swat Motorway as a flagship project for the sustainable development of the area and said that this project on completion would boost tourism and trade activities besides providing quality transportation facilities to the people and create employment opportunities for the locals.

معاہدے پر دستخط کی تقریب وزیراعلیٰ خیبرپختونخوا محمود خان نے بطور مہمان خصوصی منعقد کی جس میں پی کے ایچ اے کے اعلیٰ حکام اور متعلقہ تعمیراتی کمپنی نے معاہدے پر دستخط کیے۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق وزیر اعلیٰ خیبر پختونخوا کے مشیر برائے مواصلات و تعمیرات ریاض خان، چیف سیکرٹری شہزاد بنگش اور دیگر متعلقہ اعلیٰ حکام نے تقریب میں شرکت کی۔
نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق 80 کلومیٹر طویل سوات موٹروے فیز ٹو پبلک پرائیویٹ پارٹنرشپ موڈ پر 37 ارب روپے کی لاگت سے تعمیر کیا جائے گا۔ یہ موٹروے چکدرہ سے شروع ہو کر مدین فتح پور پر اختتام پذیر ہو گی۔ ابتدائی طور پر اس موٹر وے کی چار لین ہوں گی جو مستقبل میں چھ لین تک بڑھائی جا سکیں گی۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق کوریڈور میں 9 انٹر چینج ہوں گے جن میں چکدرہ انٹر چینج، شموزئی، بریکوٹ، مینگورہ، کانجو، مالم جبہ یونیورسٹی آف سوات، شیر پالم، مٹہ خوازہ خیلہ اور مدین فتح پور انٹر چینج شامل ہیں۔ مزید یہ کہ دریائے سوات کے مختلف مقامات پر آٹھ مین پل بنائے جائیں گے۔
اس کے علاوہ چار ریسٹ ایریاز بھی منصوبے کا حصہ ہوں گے جب کہ جہاں ضرورت ہو گی لنک ہائی ویز فراہم کی جائیں گی۔
تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ وزیر اعلیٰ نے سوات موٹر وے کو علاقے کی پائیدار ترقی کا فلیگ شپ منصوبہ قرار دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ اس منصوبے کی تکمیل سے سیاحت اور تجارتی سرگرمیوں کو فروغ ملے گا اور لوگوں کو معیاری سفری سہولیات میسر آئیں گی اور روزگار کے مواقع پیدا ہوں گے۔
