KMC to carry out beautification of 106 roads

KMC Administrator Laeeq Ahmed addressed a meeting at his office regarding the beautification, and renovation of roads. KMC Senior Director Coordination Khalid Khan, Parks Director General Taha Saleem, General Works Director Shabiul Hasnain Zaidi, and other officers attended the meeting.

The KMC administrator said that an advisory committee would be formed for the renovation of these roads, which would include KMC officers as well as renowned personalities of the city, and dignitaries with creative minds.

He also sought ideas for building monuments on roads. He added that the metropolis would welcome anyone who would come up with an idea for the betterment of Karachi Ahmed said efforts would be made to create a better environment in the city by renovating Share Faisal, Shahrah-e-Pakistan, Rashid Minhas Road, and other major arteries.

He said Karachi was a major city of the world, and it should have all the facilities that people around the globe would expect in it. “The past of Karachi is very glorious.

Once upon a time, the streets of Karachi were washed daily and lamps were lit with kerosene,” he recalled. He added that today, all modern facilities were available but unfortunately they were not being used.

کے ایم سی ایڈمنسٹریٹر لائق احمد نے اپنے دفتر میں سڑکوں کی خوبصورتی ، تزئین و آرائش کے حوالے سے ایک اجلاس سے خطاب کیا۔ کے ایم سی کے سینئر ڈائریکٹر کوآرڈینیشن خالد خان ، پارکس کے ڈائریکٹر جنرل طحہ سلیم ، جنرل ورکس ڈائریکٹر شبیرالحسن زیدی ، اور دیگر افسران نے اجلاس میں شرکت کی۔

کے ایم سی ایڈمنسٹریٹر کا کہنا تھا کہ ان سڑکوں کی تزئین و آرائش کے لئے ایک مشاورتی کمیٹی تشکیل دی جائے گی ، جس میں کے ایم سی افسران کے ساتھ ساتھ شہر کی نامور شخصیات اور تخلیقی ذہن رکھنے والے معزز شخصیات بھی شامل ہوں گے۔

انہوں نے سڑکوں پر یادگار تعمیر کرنے کے لئے بھی خیالات طلب کیے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ میٹروپولیس ہر اس شخص کا خیرمقدم کرے گا جو کراچی کی بہتری کے لئے کوئی آئیڈیا لے کر آئے گا احمد نے کہا کہ شہرہ فیصل ، شاہراہ پاکستان ، راشد منہاس روڈ کی تزئین و آرائش کرکے شہر میں ایک بہتر ماحول پیدا کرنے کی کوشش کی جائے گی ، اور دوسری بڑی شریانیں۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ کراچی دنیا کا ایک بڑا شہر ہے ، اور اس میں وہ تمام سہولیات ہونی چاہئیں جو دنیا بھر کے لوگ اس میں توقع کریں گے۔ “کراچی کا ماضی بہت پُر وقار ہے۔

ایک زمانے میں ، کراچی کی گلیوں میں روزانہ دھویا جاتا تھا اور مٹی کے تیل سے لیمپ جلائے جاتے تھے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ آج کل ، تمام جدید سہولیات میسر تھیں لیکن بدقسمتی سے وہ استعمال نہیں ہو رہی تھیں۔
