Inauguration of NICVD at Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases

During the occasion, Wahab expressed the hope that the new chest pain unit would be upgraded to a fully-fledged satellite center of the NICVD in the coming days.

While inaugurating the chest pain unit Wahab said. “Establishment of the NICVD’s chest pain unit at the Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases in FB Area of the city was my dream and today it has been realized. From now onwards, dwellers of this area comprising Central and East districts would be benefitted from the services of the NICVD free of charge,”

According to the news sources, the administrator said that soon, the chest pain unit at the KIHD would be converted into a satellite center of the NICVD, having facilities of interventional cardiology and heart surgeries for people of all age groups.

“The NICVD is the hallmark of the Sindh government’s services for people’s health in the province. People from entire Pakistan come to Karachi and other cities of Sindh to avail quality cardiac care services free of charge,” Wahab said, adding that people from abroad were also visiting the NICVD Karachi and Sukkur for heart treatment.

چیسٹ پین یونٹ کا افتتاح کرتے ہوئے وہاب نے کہا۔ "شہر کے ایف بی ایریا میں واقع کراچی انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف ہارٹ ڈیزیز میں (این آئ سی وی ڈی) کے سینے کے درد کے یونٹ کا قیام میرا خواب تھا اور آج یہ پورا ہو گیا ہے۔ اب کے بعد سے، وسطی اور مشرقی اضلاع پر مشتمل اس علاقے کے باشندے مفت (این آئ سی وی ڈی) کی خدمات سے مستفید ہوں گے۔
نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق ایڈمنسٹریٹر نے کہا کہ جلد ہی (کے آئ ایچ ڈی) میں سینے کے درد کے یونٹ کو (این آئ سی وی ڈی) کے سیٹلائٹ سنٹر میں تبدیل کر دیا جائے گا، جس میں ہر عمر کے لوگوں کے لیے انٹروینشنل کارڈیالوجی اور ہارٹ سرجری کی سہولیات میسر ہوں گی۔
صوبے میں لوگوں کی صحت کے لیے سندھ حکومت کی خدمات کی پہچان ہے۔ پورے پاکستان سے لوگ کراچی اور سندھ کے دیگر شہروں میں مفت کارڈیک کیئر کی خدمات حاصل کرنے کے لیے آتے ہیں، وہاب نے کہا، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ بیرون ملک سے لوگ بھی دل کے علاج کے لیے (این آئ سی وی ڈی) کراچی اور سکھر آتے ہیں۔
