IG for strict action against overloading vehicles

While giving the instructions to the RPOs, DPOs, and District Traffic Officers, inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that a special campaign should be launched in all districts across the province against overloading and over-speeding vehicles in fog and smog season.

According to the news sources, IG Punjab said that both Punjab Highway Patrol and Traffic Police should play an active role in the prevention of accidents and flow of traffic and provide all possible protection to the lives and property of passengers. He further added, instructed that reflector stickers should be affixed on slow-moving vehicles, tractors, trolleys, donkey carts, etc on the highways.

انسپکٹر جنرل پولیس پنجاب راؤ سردار علی خان نے آر پی اوز، ڈی پی اوز اور ڈسٹرکٹ ٹریفک افسران کو ہدایات دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ دھند اور سموگ کے موسم میں اوور لوڈنگ اور اوور سپیڈنگ گاڑیوں کے خلاف صوبہ بھر کے تمام اضلاع میں خصوصی مہم چلائی جائے۔ .
نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق آئی جی پنجاب نے کہا کہ پنجاب ہائی وے پٹرول اور ٹریفک پولیس دونوں حادثات کی روک تھام اور ٹریفک کی روانی میں فعال کردار ادا کریں اور مسافروں کے جان و مال کو ہر ممکن تحفظ فراہم کریں۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ شاہراہوں پر سست رفتاری سے چلنے والی گاڑیوں، ٹریکٹروں، ٹرالیوں، گدھا گاڑیوں وغیرہ پر ریفلیکٹر اسٹیکر چسپاں کرنے کی ہدایت کی ہے۔
