Housing Societies Are Warned by CDA Against Postponing the Submission of Building Plans

The building bylaws state that the residents of Islamabad are required to submit their building plan to their respective housing societies’ offices. The offices of the housing societies are then required to review and forward the plans to Building Control Section for their approval.

The civic authority had only been implementing the building bylaws in sectoral areas previously, however now it has been enforcing its building bylaws across the city. Two new directorates have been created, which are given the power to regulate construction activities in the area under their jurisdiction.

It has been revealed that multiple commercial and residential buildings in the city have not yet been regularized by CDA so far despite having received approval from their housing societies. Sources reveal that the buildings have submitted multiple requests however the management of the housing societies have illegally retained multiple building maps in their offices. Furthermore, they have been avoiding submitting the plans to CDA.

بلڈنگ بائی لاز میں کہا گیا ہے کہ اسلام آباد کے رہائشیوں کو اپنا بلڈنگ پلان اپنی متعلقہ ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں کے دفاتر میں جمع کروانا ہوگا۔ اس کے بعد ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں کے دفاتر سے ان منصوبوں کا جائزہ لینے اور ان کی منظوری کے لیے بلڈنگ کنٹرول سیکشن کو بھیجنے کی ضرورت ہوتی ہے۔
شہری اتھارٹی پہلے صرف سیکٹرل ایریاز میں بلڈنگ بائی لاز نافذ کرتی تھی، تاہم اب وہ پورے شہر میں اپنے بلڈنگ بائی لاز کو نافذ کر رہی ہے۔ دو نئے ڈائریکٹوریٹ بنائے گئے ہیں، جنہیں اپنے دائرہ اختیار میں آنے والے علاقے میں تعمیراتی سرگرمیوں کو منظم کرنے کا اختیار دیا گیا ہے۔
یہ بات سامنے آئی ہے کہ شہر میں متعدد کمرشل اور رہائشی عمارتیں سی ڈی اے کی جانب سے اپنی ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیوں سے منظوری لینے کے باوجود ریگولرائز نہیں کی گئیں۔ ذرائع نے انکشاف کیا ہے کہ عمارتوں نے متعدد درخواستیں جمع کرائی ہیں تاہم ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیز کی انتظامیہ نے اپنے دفاتر میں متعدد عمارتوں کے نقشے غیر قانونی طور پر رکھے ہوئے ہیں۔ مزید برآں، وہ سی ڈی اے کو پلان جمع کرانے سے گریز کرتے رہے ہیں۔
