HEC inviting Proposals for CPEC Collaborative Research Grant

This project is amongst the key components of “Academic Collaboration under CPEC Consortium of Universities” which comes under HEC. 

The main objective behind this step is to “understand and respond to historic global geo-strategic and geo-economic transition, and its impact on the region.” It is been said by HEC that the investigators of this process will be faculty members belonging to higher education institutions of Pakistan.  

On 9th February 2021, The Higher Education Commission (HEC) invited proposals for the China Pakistan Economic Corridor -Collaborative Research Grant (CPEC-CRG).  

A statement has been posted on HEC`s website according to which this project is amongst the key components of the currently launched HEC initiative “Academic Collaboration under CPEC Consortium of Universities.”

"The objective of the project is to understand and respond to the historic global geo-strategic and geo-economic transition, and its impact on the region, in general, and Pakistan in particular," said HEC.

"CPEC- CRG research projects must be collaborative in scope, with teams composed of academic researchers from Pakistan and China with the appropriate expertise to address the research challenge, as well as industrial and sectoral collaborators within Pakistan and/or China," mentioned over HEC`s website. 

"To take full advantage of the national research capacity, proposals are encouraged from teams including junior and senior academic staff, as well as both male and female researchers," further said.

ایچ ای سی نے سی پی ای سی کے اشتراک کار ریسرچ گرانٹ کے لئے تجاویز کو مدعو کرنے کا اقدام کیا ہے۔

یہ پروجیکٹ "سی پی ای سی کنسورشیم آف یونیورسٹیوں کے تحت تعلیمی تعاون" کے کلیدی اجزاء میں شامل ہے جو ایچ ای سی کے تحت آتا ہے۔

اس اقدام کے پیچھے بنیادی مقصد "تاریخی عالمی جیو اسٹریٹجک اور جیو معاشی منتقلی کو سمجھنا اور اس کا جواب دینا ، اور اس خطے پر اس کے اثرات" ہیں۔ ایچ ای سی کے ذریعہ کہا گیا ہے کہ اس عمل کے تفتیش کار پاکستان کے اعلی تعلیمی اداروں سے تعلق رکھنے والے فیکلٹی ممبر ہوں گے۔

9 فروری 2021 کو ، ہائیر ایجوکیشن کمیشن (ایچ ای سی) نے چائنا پاکستان اکنامک کوریڈور - کولیبوریٹو ریسرچ گرانٹ (سی پی ای سی - سی آر جی) کے لئے تجاویز طلب کی گئیں۔

ایچ ای سی کی ویب سائٹ پر ایک بیان شائع کیا گیا ہے جس کے مطابق یہ پروجیکٹ اس وقت شروع ہونے والی ایچ ای سی پہل "یونیورسٹیوں کے سی پی ای سی کنسورشیم کے تحت تعلیمی تعاون" کے کلیدی حص .وں میں شامل ہے۔

ایچ ای سی نے کہا ، "اس منصوبے کا مقصد تاریخی عالمی جیو اسٹریٹجک اور جیو معاشی منتقلی کو سمجھنا اور اس کا جواب دینا ہے ، اور اس کے خطے ، بالعموم اور خاص طور پر پاکستان پر پڑنے والے اثرات کو ،"۔

"سی ای پی ای سی - سی آر جی تحقیقی منصوبوں کو تحقیقات کے چیلنج سے نمٹنے کے لئے مناسب مہارت کے ساتھ پاکستان اور چین کی علمی محققین پر مشتمل ٹیموں کے ساتھ ساتھ دائرہ کار میں بھی باہمی تعاون کے ساتھ ہونا چاہئے ،" ایچ ای سی کے بارے میں ذکر کیا گیا ہے۔ کی ویب سائٹ

مزید کہا ، "قومی تحقیقی صلاحیت سے بھر پور فائدہ اٹھانے کے لئے ، تعلیمی عملے سمیت مردوں اور خواتین محققین سمیت ٹیموں کی تجاویز کی حوصلہ افزائی کی جاتی ہے۔"
