Gulberg to Defence Mor signal-free corridor approved

According to the news sources, this approval is given in the meeting to improve the traffic flow in the city with the estimated cost of Rs2.80 billion in the ongoing Annual Development Plan.

The approval was given in the 70th meeting of the Cabinet Standing Committee on Finance and Development presided over by Punjab Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht at the Chief Minister's Secretariat. The attendee of this meeting includes The Chief Secretary Punjab, Secretary Finance, Secretary Planning and Development, and secretaries of relevant departments.

According to the news sources, the project will be jointly carried out by the Punjab govt and Lahore Development Authority. More than 18 recommendations from various departments were presented at the meeting while the majority of them were approved in the meeting. Additionally, the meeting also approved the BS-5 recruitments in the Katcha areas by the Home Dept for counter-terrorism in the area. The meeting also gave the nod for recruitments in Child Protection Bureau.

During the meeting, Committee has approved the enclosure of three new schemes of the Communication and Works Department alongside the Sports Dept scheme of setting up of sports complex in Rahimyar Khan. The Finance Department has given in-principle approval of Technical Allowance for Engineers. The CM said under the mega project, an underpass and an overhead bridge will be constructed at Cavalry Ground and Defence Mor.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق یہ منظوری شہر میں ٹریفک کی روانی کو بہتر بنانے کے لیے جاری کیا گیا سالانہ ترقیاتی منصوبے میں 2 ارب 80 کروڑ روپے کی تخمینہ لاگت اجلاس میں دی گئی۔
یہ منظوری وزیر خزانہ پنجاب مخدوم ہاشم جواں بخت کی زیر صدارت کابینہ کی قائمہ کمیٹی برائے خزانہ و ترقی کے 70ویں اجلاس میں دی گئی۔ اس اجلاس کے شرکاء میں چیف سیکرٹری پنجاب، سیکرٹری خزانہ، سیکرٹری منصوبہ بندی و ترقیات اور متعلقہ محکموں کے سیکرٹریز شامل ہیں۔
نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق یہ منصوبہ پنجاب حکومت اور لاہور ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی مشترکہ طور پر سر انجام دیں گے۔ اجلاس میں مختلف محکموں کی جانب سے 18 سے زائد سفارشات پیش کی گئیں جن میں سے اکثریت کی اجلاس میں منظوری دی گئی۔ مزید برآں، اجلاس نے علاقے میں انسداد دہشت گردی کے لیے محکمہ داخلہ کی طرف سے کچے کے علاقوں میں (بی سی-5) بھرتیوں کی بھی منظوری دی۔ اجلاس میں چائلڈ پروٹیکشن بیورو میں بھرتیوں کی منظوری بھی دی گئی۔
اجلاس کے دوران کمیٹی نے رحیم یار خان میں سپورٹس کمپلیکس کے قیام کی سپورٹس ڈیپارٹمنٹ سکیم کے ساتھ ساتھ کمیونیکیشن اینڈ ورکس ڈیپارٹمنٹ کی تین نئی سکیموں کو انکلوژر کرنے کی منظوری دی۔ محکمہ خزانہ نے انجینئرز کے لیے ٹیکنیکل الاؤنس کی اصولی منظوری دے دی ہے۔ وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا کہ میگا پراجیکٹ کے تحت کیولری گراؤنڈ اور ڈیفنس موڑ پر ایک انڈر پاس اور ایک اوور ہیڈ برج تعمیر کیا جائے گا۔
