KARACHI: Sindh Government is taking measures to expedite the Green Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in Karachi to ease the problems faces by the citizens.
A meeting was arranged to review the pace of the Green Line BRT project of Karachi where Planning Minister Asad Umar briefed the attendants.
Asad Umar said that he said that the center was working beyond its responsibility to give due rights to Karachi.
While reviewing the Karachi Circular Railway Freight Corridor project, Umar directed the Ministry of Railways, Sindh Infrastructure Development Company, and Public-Private Partnership Authority to finalize a tripartite agreement.
He also called on the stakeholders to determine the scope of work, reflecting the role of each party in the mutually agreed projects to be initiated on public-private partnership/ build-operate-transfer modes.
Umar emphasized that the Green Line BRT should be operational by August 2021.

کراچی کے گرین لائن بی آر ٹی منصوبے کی رفتار کا جائزہ لینے کے لئے ایک اجلاس کا اہتمام کیا گیا جس میں وزیر منصوبہ بندی اسد عمر نے حاضرین کو بریفنگ دی۔
اسد عمر نے کہا کہ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ کراچی کراچی کو بقایہ حقوق دینے کے لئے مرکز اپنی ذمہ داری سے آگے بڑھ رہا ہے۔
کراچی سرکلر ریلوے فریٹ کوریڈور منصوبے کا جائزہ لیتے ہوئے ، عمر نے وزارت ریلوے ، سندھ انفراسٹرکچر ڈویلپمنٹ کمپنی اور پبلک پرائیویٹ پارٹنرشپ اتھارٹی کو سہ فریقی معاہدے کو حتمی شکل دینے کی ہدایت کی۔
انہوں نے اسٹیک ہولڈرز سے بھی مطالبہ کیا کہ وہ کام کے دائرہ کار کا تعین کریں ، جو باہمی اتفاق رائے سے منسلک منصوبوں میں ہر فریق کے کردار کی عکاسی کرتے ہیں۔
عمر نے اس بات پر زور دیا کہ گرین لائن بی آر ٹی اگست 2021 تک آپریشنل ہوجائے
