Grand operation to be launched against land grabbers by the Sindh Government

Sindh Chief Secretary revealed that unbiased action will be taken against the land-grabbing mafia, and punishments will also be meted out. All the residents removed from a building classified as dangerous will be provided with alternative housing.

The meeting was informed about multiple issues, such as land grabbing, water theft, illegal and dangerous buildings of Malir Development Authority, Karachi Development Authority, and Lyari Development Authority in the city.

It was revealed that up to 5.000 acres of land under MDA was illegally occupied by land grabbers in the West District of the city. Added to that, the officials have also completed the geotagging of all the encroached land.

Lastly, around 6,000 buildings are under construction in the city, all of which are illegal, and almost 21 buildings currently have been sealed so far.

چیف سیکریٹری سندھ نے انکشاف کیا کہ زمینوں پر قبضہ مافیا کے خلاف بلا امتیاز کارروائی کی جائے گی، سزا بھی دی جائے گی۔ خطرناک قرار دی گئی عمارت سے نکالے گئے تمام رہائشیوں کو متبادل رہائش فراہم کی جائے گی۔
اجلاس کو شہر میں زمینوں پر قبضے، پانی کی چوری، ملیر ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی، کراچی ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی اور لیاری ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی کی غیر قانونی اور خطرناک عمارتوں کے بارے میں آگاہ کیا گیا۔
یہ انکشاف ہوا کہ شہر کے ضلع غربی میں MDA کے تحت 5000 ایکڑ اراضی پر لینڈ گریبرز نے ناجائز قبضہ کر رکھا ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ افسران نے تمام تجاوزات والی زمین کی جیو ٹیگنگ بھی مکمل کر لی ہے۔
آخری بات یہ ہے کہ شہر میں تقریباً 6000 عمارتیں زیر تعمیر ہیں، جن میں سے سبھی غیر قانونی ہیں، اور فی الحال تقریباً 21 عمارتوں کو سیل کیا جا چکا ہے۔
