Govt urged to resolve Malam Jabba closure issue

Lawyers should help stakeholders promote tourism instead of dragging them into lawsuits of consequent closure of tourism promotion sites.

Putting some light on the closure of the Malam Jabba site on the court orders, Vice-President of the Mardan Bar Association Ashraf Ali urged the government to do its best to restore tourism activities in the area that is providing jobs to thousands of locals besides helping the local businesses to embellishment.

He further said that some rules and regulations should be followed to promote tourism in the region and bring investment, adding that the courts should refrain from judicial overreach. It is relevant to mention here that judicial outwit has been stopped by the Supreme Court in March 2021.

He said the Peshawar High Court should be approached for a review of its decision regarding the entry fee of Malam Jabba resort that has led to its closure for the public.

A Mingora bench of the high court has barred the resort’s management from collecting entry fees to the tourist spot on a petition from some lawyers in the area.

عدالتی احکامات پر مالم جبہ سائٹ کی بندش پر کچھ روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے مردان بار ایسوسی ایشن کے نائب صدر اشرف علی نے حکومت پر زور دیا کہ وہ اس علاقے میں سیاحت کی سرگرمیوں کی بحالی کے لئے اپنی پوری کوشش کرے جو ہزاروں مقامی افراد کو روزگار فراہم کررہی ہے اور مدد کے علاوہ زیور کے لئے مقامی کاروبار.

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ خطے میں سیاحت کو فروغ دینے اور سرمایہ کاری لانے کے لئے کچھ قواعد و ضوابط پر عمل کرنا چاہئے ، انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ عدالتوں کو عدالتی رکاوٹ سے باز رہنا چاہئے۔ یہاں یہ بتانا ضروری ہے کہ سپریم کورٹ نے مارچ 2021 میں عدالتی چوری روک دی ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ ملم جبہ ریسارٹ کی انٹری فیس سے متعلق فیصلے پر نظرثانی کے لئے پشاور ہائی کورٹ سے رجوع کیا جانا چاہئے جس کی وجہ سے عوام کے لئے اس کی بندش ہوئی ہے۔

ہائی کورٹ کے مینگورہ بینچ نے علاقے کے کچھ وکیلوں کی درخواست پر ریسارٹ مینجمنٹ کو سیاحتی مقام پر داخلے کی فیس جمع کرنے سے روک دیا ہے۔
