Govt to promote Kotli Sattian as a new tourist destination

According to the news sources, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab on Information, Tourism, and Spokesperson to the Punjab Government Hasaan Khawar has said that, in an effort to establish and promote new tourist destinations in the province, installation of glimpsing pods and parkway project for tourists in Kotli Satiyan have been completed, while the tourism highway is in the final stages of completion.

While talking to the media he further added that these projects will soon be inaugurated by Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar.

Hasaan Khawar went on to say that a single-decker bus service for visitors in three cities in South Punjab, modeled after Lahore's double-decker buses, will be started soon, with the scope of service gradually expanding to more tourist locations later.

These views were expressed by SACM to Chief Minister Punjab Hasaan Khawar while presiding over a high-level meeting of the Punjab Tourism Department to review the progress on ongoing and future projects.

Secretary Tourism Asadullah Faiz, Additional Secretary Tourism, General Managers as well as officials from Archaeology Department and Lahore Museum were present at the meeting. Giving instructions on the occasion, SACM said that in addition to opening special rescue and relief centers in Murree in collaboration with Rescue 1122, work be expedited to install digital boards at various places to keep the tourists informed about the weather conditions.

خبر رساں ذرائع کے مطابق وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب کے معاون خصوصی برائے اطلاعات، سیاحت اور پنجاب حکومت کے ترجمان حسن خاور نے کہا ہے کہ صوبے میں نئے سیاحتی مقامات کے قیام اور فروغ کے لیے گلیمپنگ پوڈز کی تنصیب اور پارک وے کا منصوبہ شروع کیا جا رہا ہے۔ کوٹلی ستیاں میں سیاحوں کے لیے تعمیر مکمل کر لی گئی ہے جبکہ سیاحتی شاہراہ تکمیل کے آخری مراحل میں ہے۔
میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ان منصوبوں کا جلد وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب سردار عثمان بزدار افتتاح کریں گے۔
حسن خاور نے مزید کہا کہ جنوبی پنجاب کے تین شہروں میں زائرین کے لیے سنگل ڈیکر بس سروس، جو لاہور کی ڈبل ڈیکر بسوں کی طرز پر بنائی گئی ہے، جلد شروع کی جائے گی، سروس کا دائرہ کار آہستہ آہستہ مزید سیاحتی مقامات تک پھیلایا جائے گا۔
ان خیالات کا اظہار ایس اے سی ایم ٹو وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب حسن خاور نے محکمہ سیاحت پنجاب کے جاری اور مستقبل کے منصوبوں پر پیش رفت کا جائزہ لینے کے لیے منعقدہ اعلیٰ سطحی اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے کیا۔
اجلاس میں سیکرٹری سیاحت اسد اللہ فیض، ایڈیشنل سیکرٹری سیاحت، جنرل منیجرز کے علاوہ محکمہ آثار قدیمہ اور لاہور میوزیم کے حکام بھی موجود تھے۔ اس موقع پر ہدایات دیتے ہوئے ایس اے سی ایم نے کہا کہ ریسکیو 1122 کے تعاون سے مری میں خصوصی ریسکیو اینڈ ریلیف سنٹرز کھولنے کے ساتھ ساتھ سیاحوں کو موسم کی صورتحال سے آگاہ رکھنے کے لیے مختلف مقامات پر ڈیجیٹل بورڈز لگانے کا کام تیز کیا جائے۔
