Govt earmarks billions of rupees for development of Multan: Secretary Housing

Secretary Housing Liaqat Ali Chatha said the Punjab government had earmarked billions of rupees for resolving sewerage problems of the local district.

While paying a visit to review sewerage projects initiated here in different parts of the city, the Secretary said CM Punjab was paying special attention to the development of Multan.

MD Wasa Nasir Iqbal, giving a briefing to the Secretary about sewerage projects on the occasion said, 350-meter long pipeline line was installed at bypass area through thrust boring.

He said 8000 feet length sewerage line was laid at Nawab Pur road and work continued further to lay 14,000 feet long pipeline at adjacent places.

سیکرٹری ہاؤسنگ لیاقت علی چٹھہ نے کہا کہ پنجاب حکومت نے مقامی ضلع کے سیوریج کے مسائل کے حل کے لیے اربوں روپے رکھے ہیں۔

یہاں شہر کے مختلف حصوں میں شروع ہونے والے سیوریج منصوبوں کا جائزہ لینے کے دوران دورہ کرتے ہوئے سیکرٹری نے کہا کہ وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب ملتان کی ترقی پر خصوصی توجہ دے رہے ہیں۔

ایم ڈی واسا ناصر اقبال نے اس موقع پر سیکریٹری کو سیوریج کے منصوبوں کے بارے میں بریفنگ دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ 350 میٹر لمبی پائپ لائن بائی پاس ایریا میں زور بورنگ کے ذریعے لگائی گئی۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ نواب پور روڈ پر 8000 فٹ لمبی سیوریج لائن بچھائی گئی اور ملحقہ مقامات پر 14000 فٹ لمبی پائپ لائن بچھانے کا کام جاری ہے۔
