Govt. considers Kisan Card its flagship programme: Minister for Agriculture

According to the news sources, during the meeting, the pace of work on ongoing projects in the Agriculture and Irrigation departments was reviewed. The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Irrigation Mohsin Khan Leghari, Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Afzal, Head of Chief Minister Monitoring Unit Fasil Asif, Secretary Agriculture Punjab Asad Rehman Gilani, Secretary Irrigation Saif Anjum and other senior officials attended the meeting.

According to the details, while addressing the meeting, Provincial Minister for Agriculture Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi said that under the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan steps are being taken to improve the Agriculture and Irrigation Departments and timely completion of projects is being ensured so that the government could achieve its slogan of change.

While addressing the meeting he further added, that the pace of work on various projects started under the Agriculture Department should be further expedited and maximum facilities are provided to the farmers. Kissan Card is the flagship program of the government through which subsidy is being provided on agricultural commodities, seeds, and implements.

نیوز ذرائع کے مطابق اجلاس میں محکمہ زراعت اور آبپاشی میں جاری منصوبوں پر کام کی رفتار کا جائزہ لیا گیا۔ اجلاس میں صوبائی وزیر آبپاشی محسن خان لغاری، چیف سیکرٹری پنجاب کامران افضل، چیف منسٹر مانیٹرنگ یونٹ کے سربراہ فصیل آصف، سیکرٹری زراعت پنجاب اسد رحمان گیلانی، سیکرٹری آبپاشی سیف انجم اور دیگر اعلیٰ حکام نے شرکت کی۔
تفصیلات کے مطابق اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے صوبائی وزیر زراعت سید حسین جہانیہ گردیزی نے کہا کہ وزیر اعظم عمران خان کی ہدایت پر محکمہ زراعت اور آبپاشی کی بہتری کے لیے اقدامات کیے جا رہے ہیں اور منصوبوں کی بروقت تکمیل کو یقینی بنایا جا رہا ہے تاکہ حکومت تبدیلی کا نعرہ لگا سکتی ہے۔
اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ محکمہ زراعت کے تحت شروع کئے گئے مختلف منصوبوں پر کام کی رفتار کو مزید تیز کیا جائے اور کسانوں کو زیادہ سے زیادہ سہولیات فراہم کی جائیں۔ کسان کارڈ حکومت کا فلیگ شپ پروگرام ہے جس کے ذریعے زرعی اجناس، بیجوں اور آلات پر سبسڈی فراہم کی جا رہی ہے۔
