Govt. asks people to follow NCOC guidelines against Covid fourth wave

The federal government on Saturday warned the people that the country was clearly witnessing signs of a fourth wave of the coronavirus pandemic and asked them to follow the defined standard operating procedures and get themselves vaccinated to avert major restrictions and losses.

At a meeting chaired by President Dr Arif Alvi at Governor House, it was agreed that the implementation of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) guidelines was crucial in the current scenario.

A statement issued by the Governor House said that the federal government was working on a sustainable development agenda for Sindh. The strategy promotes the sustainable use of resources to achieve the objectives of poverty alleviation and social development through the participation of the people of Sindh.

Federal Minister for Planning and Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar briefed the meeting on the ongoing development schemes and future projects for Sindh.

He said that the purpose of the strategic planning and actions was to address the ecological, economic, and social issues of the province.

Dr Arif Alvi also directed the Sindh governor to convene a meeting with ulema and religious scholars before Muharram to ensure the enforcement of the SOPs during congregations and other religious events.

“We cannot ask people to abandon their faith during these testing times, but we must play our role to ensure the community can learn how to protect people from Covid-19 during the annual majalis”, he added.

ہفتہ کو وفاقی حکومت نے لوگوں کو متنبہ کیا کہ ملک واضح طور پر کورون وائرس وبائی امراض کی چوتھی لہر کی علامتوں کا مشاہدہ کر رہا ہے اور ان سے کہا ہے کہ وہ معیاری آپریٹنگ طریقہ کار پر عمل کریں اور بڑی پابندیوں اور نقصانات سے بچنے کے لئے خود کو ویکسینیشن کروائیں۔

گورنر ہاؤس میں صدر ڈاکٹر عارف علوی کی زیرصدارت اجلاس میں اس بات پر اتفاق کیا گیا کہ موجودہ منظر نامے میں نیشنل کمانڈ اینڈ آپریشن سنٹر (این سی او سی) کے رہنما اصولوں پر عمل درآمد اہم تھا۔

گورنر ہاؤس سے جاری ایک بیان میں کہا گیا ہے کہ وفاقی حکومت سندھ کے لئے پائیدار ترقیاتی ایجنڈے پر کام کر رہی ہے۔ حکمت عملی وسطی کے پائیدار استعمال کو غربت مٹانے اور معاشرتی ترقی کے اہداف کو حاصل کرنے کے لئے سندھ کے عوام کی شراکت کے ذریعے فروغ دیتی ہے۔

وفاقی وزیر منصوبہ بندی و ترقیات اور خصوصی اقدامات اسد عمر نے اجلاس کو سندھ کے لئے جاری ترقیاتی سکیموں اور مستقبل کے منصوبوں کے بارے میں بتایا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ اسٹریٹجک منصوبہ بندی اور اقدامات کا مقصد صوبے کے ماحولیاتی ، معاشی اور معاشرتی مسائل کو حل کرنا ہے۔

ڈاکٹر عارف علوی نے گورنر سندھ کو یہ بھی ہدایت کی کہ وہ محرم سے قبل علمائے کرام اور مذہبی سکالرز کے ساتھ اجلاس بلائیں تاکہ اجتماعات اور دیگر مذہبی تقاریب کے دوران ایس او پیز کے نفاذ کو یقینی بنایا جاسکے۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا ، "ہم ان آزمائشی اوقات میں لوگوں سے ان کے عقیدے کو ترک کرنے کے لئے نہیں کہہ سکتے ، لیکن ہمیں اپنا کردار ادا کرنا ہوگا تاکہ یہ یقینی بنایا جاسکے کہ برادری سالانہ مجالس کے دوران کوویڈ 19 سے لوگوں کی حفاظت کرنا سیکھ سکتی ہے۔"
