Govt Approves Rs. 2bn for Airport Security Force at Gwadar

According to the news sources, initially less than Rs. 700 million funds were provided from the actual demand due to which a shortfall of Rs. 637.927 million occurred during the current fiscal year.

As of December 31, 2021, the Aviation Division consumed Rs. 879.196 million from the allocated budget of Rs. 1,483 million which adds up to 59.28 percent of the total budget. The remaining balance of the division is Rs. 603.805 million.

ECC has also approved a total of Rs. 2 billion for the Airports Security Force (ASF).

The ASF had demanded an amount of Rs. 700.725 million for the purchase of ammunition at the New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA) which will be operational in August 2022.

According to the news sources, the force had also demanded an additional Rs. 1,695.566 million for deficiency in employee-related expenditures caused by less allocation of funds and new hirings in the force.

31 دسمبر 2021 تک، ایوی ایشن ڈویژن نے 879.196 ملین روپے کے مختص بجٹ سے روپے خرچ کیے 1,483 ملین جو کل بجٹ کا 59.28 فیصد تک اضافہ کرتا ہے۔ ڈویژن کا بقیہ بقایا روپے 603.805 ملین ہے۔
ای سی سی نے مجموعی طور پر روپے کی منظوری بھی دی ہے۔ ایئرپورٹس سیکیورٹی فورس (اے ایس ایف) کے لیے 2 ارب روپے۔
اے ایس ایف نے 20 لاکھ روپے کی رقم مانگی تھی۔ نیو گوادر انٹرنیشنل ایئرپورٹ (این جی آئی اے) پر گولہ بارود کی خریداری کے لیے 700.725 ملین روپے رکھے گئے ہی�� جو اگست 2022 میں شروع ہو جائے گا۔
خبر رساں ذرائع کے مطابق فورس نے اضافی1,695.566 ملین روپے کا مطالبہ بھی کیا تھا۔ ملازمین سے متعلقہ اخراجات میں کمی کے لیے فنڈز کی کم مختص اور فورس میں نئی بھرتیوں کی وجہ سے۔
