Government will support the marble industry in every way possible: Murtaza

According to Murtaza, who noted that the sector's current exports of USD 37 million are well below its true potential of USD 370 million.

The president of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Muhammad Shakeel Munir, claimed that the government was not supporting Pakistan's enormous potential to increase the exports of marble and granite goods.

A series of such seminars would be held with the stakeholders to promote the marble and granite sector, according to Ms. Shamama Tul Amber Arbab, Chairperson, Pakistan Stone Development Company. She described the awareness session as a new beginning for the marble and granite industry.

The potential of marble exports to the African market was highlighted by Mohamed Karmoune, Dean of the African Corps and Moroccan Ambassador.

The CEO of Pakistan Stone Development Company, Brig. (Retd) Babar Miraj Shami, outlined the company's objectives for the expansion and development of the marble and granite industry in the nation.

اسلام آباد چیمبر آف کامرس اینڈ انڈسٹری کے صدر محمد شکیل منیر نے دعویٰ کیا کہ حکومت ماربل اور گرینائٹ کی اشیاء کی برآمدات میں اضافے کے لیے پاکستان کی وسیع صلاحیت کی حمایت نہیں کر رہی ہے۔
پاکستان سٹون ڈویلپمنٹ کمپنی کی چیئرپرسن محترمہ شمامہ تل عنبر ارباب کے مطابق، ماربل اور گرینائٹ کے شعبے کو فروغ دینے کے لیے اسٹیک ہولڈرز کے ساتھ اس طرح کے سیمینارز کا ایک سلسلہ منعقد کیا جائے گا۔ انہوں نے آگاہی سیشن کو ماربل اور گرینائٹ انڈسٹری کے لیے ایک نئی شروعات قرار دیا۔
افریقی مارکیٹ میں ماربل کی برآمدات کے امکانات کو افریقی کور کے ڈین اور مراکش کے سفیر محمد کارمون نے اجاگر کیا۔
پاکستان سٹون ڈویلپمنٹ کمپنی کے سی ای او بریگیڈیئر (ریٹائرڈ) بابر معراج شامی نے ملک میں ماربل اور گرینائٹ کی صنعت کی توسیع اور ترقی کے لیے کمپنی کے مقاصد کا خاکہ پیش کیا۔
