Government to set up information Technology Park in Karachi

Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Amin ul Haque informed that government has decided to set up an information technology park near the Jinnah International Airport in the trade and business hub of Karachi at a cost of Rs. 31 billion.

Speaking in a ceremony of memorandum of understanding signed by Pakistan Software Export Board and Ultra soft Systems for setting up Technology Park in Quetta, he said, the Ultra soft technology park, with a space of 13,800 sq. ft, would be set up near Quetta International Airport.

Managing Director, PSEB Osman Nasir and CEO, Ultrasoft Systems Asif Naeem, signed the MoU.

The minister said that Quetta was the largest city in Baluchistan and thus the hub of social, cultural, and economic activities in Baluchistan.

“The IT Industry is receiving top priority from the present government to improve Pakistan’s economy, create jobs and lift the overall quality of life”, he added.

He said that the industry is being provided strong government support and extremely attractive incentives.

There are several projects intended to facilitate and assist the IT Industry in its growth trajectory and ensure continued momentum in the local and export earnings upward.

Amin ul Haque said that Pakistan’s information and communications technology industry has delivered stellar export earnings performance.

حکومت نے کراچی کے تجارتی اور کاروباری مرکز میں جناح بین الاقوامی ہوائی اڈے کے قریب ایک انفارمیشن ٹکنالوجی پارک قائم کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے جس کی لاگ31 ارب ہے۔

وزیر انفارمیشن ٹکنالوجی اینڈ ٹیلی مواصلات امین الحق نے بتایا کہ حکومت نے کراچی کے تجارتی اور کاروباری مرکز میں جناح انٹرنیشنل ایئرپورٹ کے قریب ایک انفارمیشن ٹکنالوجی پارک قائم کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے جس کی لاگت 31 ارب۔
کوئٹہ میں ٹکنالوجی پارک کے قیام کے لئے پاکستان سافٹ ویئر ایکسپورٹ بورڈ اور الٹرا سافٹ سسٹم کے دستخط شدہ مفاہمت کی ایک تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہا ، الٹرا سافٹ ٹیکنالوجی پارک کوئٹہ کے قریب 13،800 مربع فٹ کی جگہ پر قائم کیا جائے گا۔ بین الاقوامی ہوائی اڈہ۔
منیجنگ ڈائریکٹر ، پی ایس ای بی عثمان ناصر اور سی ای او ، الٹراساؤٹ سسٹمز آصف نعیم نے معاہدے پر دستخط کیے۔
وزیر موصوف نے کہا کہ کوئٹہ بلوچستان کا سب سے بڑا شہر تھا اور اس طرح بلوچستان میں معاشرتی ، ثقافتی اور معاشی سرگرمیوں کا گڑھ ہے۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا ، "آئی ٹی انڈسٹری موجودہ حکومت کی طرف سے پاکستان کی معیشت کو بہتر بنانے ، روزگار کے مواقع پیدا کرنے اور مجموعی معیار زندگی کو بلند کرنے کے لئے اولین ترجیح حاصل کر رہی ہے۔"
انہوں نے کہا کہ اس صنعت کو حکومت کی مضبوط مدد اور انتہائی پرکشش مراعات فراہم کی جارہی ہیں۔
آئی ٹی انڈسٹری کو اس کی نمو اور ترقی میں مدد فراہم کرنے اور مقامی اور برآمدات کی آمدنی میں اضافے کو یقینی بنانے کے متعدد منصوبے ہیں۔
امین الحق نے کہا کہ پاکستان کی انفارمیشن اینڈ کمیونی کیشنز ٹکنالوجی کی صنعت نے برآمدات میں زبردست برآمدات انجام دی ہیں۔
