The Federal government is going to construct 110,000 new apartments that will include 54,000 houses for the fishermen in the Quetta and the Gwadar, all under the NPHP (Naya Pakistan Housing Programme) Project.
Imran Khan, the Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan has expressed his opinions in this matter during a launch ceremony on Sunday being held in Baluchistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) in Quetta.
This announcement was made in the presence of Jam Kamal Khan; the Chief Minister (CM) of Baluchistan, Amanullah Yasinzai; the Governor, Tariq Bashir Cheema; the Federal Minister for Housing and all the other federal as well as provincial cabinet members and numerous other senior government officials.
In this regard, the PM of Pakistan, Imran Khan further informed that all the commercial banks will be providing soft loans for housing scheme to all the low income generating groups. He added that State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is also negotiating with numerous financial institutes at the moment to help in providing easy housing loans to the people.
During the first phase of the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme Project, the government has decided to construct nearly 135,000 houses all over the country. Among this number, the Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF) is going to provide nearly 25,000 apartments to Islamabad government employees.
A few days back, the PM announced the launch of the low-cost apartment project in Islamabad under the NPHP project. Under this initiative, Islamabad, as well as Rawalpindi, will be having 25,000 new apartments constructed solely for low-income groups of Pakistan.
The foundation concerned NPHP Kuchlak Road project of Quetta, under which it is planned to construct 56,000 apartments, are going to be constructed soon. The form submission deadline in this stance has been extended till May 16, 2019.
