Government sets a growth target for next fiscal year

The country recorded 3.94% growth this year, Umar said at a press conference in Islamabad.

It was driven by the production sector, according to the minister. The government is ensuring quality and sustained growth.

The main pillars of growth for the next fiscal year will be exports, industries, construction, IT, agriculture, poultry, and remittances, he said.

About the cotton crop, the minister said it is estimated to yield 10.50 million bales in the next year due to the provision of quality seeds and pesticides to farmers.

The country's exports are expected to rise to $26.8 billion in the next fiscal year from $25.2 billion this year, he said.

There has been recording growth in settlements this year, which are expected to touch the level of $29.1 billion by the end of this fiscal year, according to Umar. He expects them to increase to $31.3 billion next year.

The minister said the annual development plan, the PSDP, was being enhanced to Rs900 billion for the next fiscal year from this year's Rs650 billion.

The government aims to fully utilize the PSDP amount, which it says will contribute to the growth figure. It aims to initiate projects worth Rs1 trillion next year through a public-private partnership.

Umar said the packages announced for Karachi, and select districts of Sindh, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan will be financed from the PSDP. It will provide funds for the construction of dams too.

The government plans on allocating Rs28 billion for the health sector and Rs37 billion for the Higher Education Commission, according to the minister.

Rs5 billion rupees have also been allocated for the Skill Education Programme.

اسلام آباد میں پریس کانفرنس کرتے ہوئے عمر نے بتایا کہ رواں سال ملک میں 3.94 فیصد اضافہ ریکارڈ کیا گیا۔

وزیر کے مطابق ، یہ پیداوار کے شعبے سے چل رہا ہے۔ حکومت معیاری اور مستحکم ترقی کو یقینی بنارہی ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ اگلے مالی سال میں ترقی کے بنیادی ستون برآمدات ، صنعتیں ، تعمیرات ، آئی ٹی ، زراعت ، پولٹری اور ترسیلات زر ہوں گے۔

کپاس کی فصل کے بارے میں ، وزیر نے کہا کہ کاشتکاروں کو معیاری بیج اور کیڑے مار ادویات کی فراہمی کی وجہ سے اگلے سال اس میں 10،50 ملین گانٹھوں کی پیداوار متوقع ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ توقع ہے کہ اگلے مالی سال میں ملکی برآمدات 26.2 بلین ڈالر ہوجائیں گی جو اس سال 25.2 بلین ڈالر ہیں۔

عمر کے مطابق ، اس سال بستیوں میں ریکارڈ ترقی ہوئی ہے ، جو رواں مالی سال کے آخر تک 29.1 بلین ڈالر کی سطح کو چھو جانے کی امید ہے۔ وہ توقع کرتا ہے کہ اگلے سال ان کی تعداد 31.3 بلین ڈالر ہوجائے گی۔

وزیر نے کہا کہ پی ایس ڈی پی کے سالانہ ترقیاتی منصوبے کو اگلے مالی سال کے لئے ساڑھے چھ سو ارب روپے سے بڑھا کر نو سو ارب روپے کیا جا رہا ہے۔

حکومت کا مقصد پی ایس ڈی پی کی رقم کو پوری طرح سے استعمال کرنا ہے ، جس کا کہنا ہے کہ اس کی نمو میں اضافہ ہوگا۔ اس کا مقصد عوامی نجی شراکت کے ذریعے اگلے سال ایک کھرب روپے کے منصوبے شروع کرنا ہے۔

عمر نے کہا کہ کراچی کے لئے اعلان کردہ پیکیج ، اور سندھ ، بلوچستان اور گلگت بلتستان کے منتخب اضلاع کو پی ایس ڈی پی سے مالی اعانت فراہم کی جائے گی۔ یہ ڈیموں کی تعمیر کے لئے بھی فنڈز مہیا کرے گا۔

وزیر کے مطابق ، حکومت صحت کے شعبے کے لئے 28 ارب روپے اور ہائیر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کے لئے 37 ارب روپے مختص کرنے کا ارادہ رکھتی ہے۔

اسکل ایجوکیشن پروگرام کے لئے 5 ارب روپے بھی مختص کئے گئے ہیں۔
