Government is working hard to provide basic civic facilities to residents of Capital: Asad Umar

Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Asad Umar, has said that the government is working on a single regulatory and governance system for the whole capital to ensure the provision of all basic civic facilities to its residents.

Talking to media here Wednesday along with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on CDA Affairs, Ali Nawaz Awan, after the inauguration of the monsoon plantation campaign, he said that a single regulatory system is very necessary to address the problems of citizens and to ensure quality civic facilities to them.

He said the Prime Minister will soon formally approve the large-scale development projects for Islamabad. He said four new hospitals will be constructed in Islamabad to strengthen the health care system while a water line system of 100 million gallons daily is being constructed to address the water shortage.

He said legislation against illegal housing societies is also being made to address the grievances of affected citizens. He appealed to the general public to fully participate in the drive for green Pakistan.

اسلام آباد: حکومت اپنے رہائشیوں کو تمام بنیادی شہری سہولیات کی فراہمی کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے پورے دارالحکومت کے لیے سخت محنت کر رہی ہے۔

منصوبہ بندی ، ترقی اور خصوصی اقدامات کے وزیر اسد عمر نے کہا ہے کہ حکومت پورے دارالحکومت کے لیے ایک ہی ریگولیٹری اور گورننس سسٹم پر کام کر رہی ہے تاکہ اپنے رہائشیوں کو تمام بنیادی شہری سہولیات کی فراہمی کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔

وزیر اعظم کے معاون خصوصی برائے سی ڈی اے امور علی نواز اعوان نے بدھ کو یہاں میڈیا سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ مون سون شجر کاری مہم کے افتتاح کے بعد انہوں نے کہا کہ شہریوں کے مسائل کو حل کرنے اور معیار کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے ایک ہی ریگولیٹری نظام بہت ضروری ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ وزیراعظم جلد ہی اسلام آباد کے بڑے پیمانے پر ترقیاتی منصوبوں کی باضابطہ منظوری دیں گے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ صحت کی دیکھ بھال کے نظام کو مضبوط بنانے کے لیے اسلام آباد میں چار نئے ہسپتال تعمیر کیے جائیں گے جبکہ پانی کی کمی کو دور کرنے کے لیے روزانہ 100 ملین گیلن واٹر لائن سسٹم بنایا جا رہا ہے۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ غیر قانونی ہاؤسنگ سوسائٹیز کے خلاف قانون سازی کی جا رہی ہے تاکہ متاثرہ شہریوں کی شکایات کو دور کیا جا سکے۔ انہوں نے عام لوگوں سے اپیل کی کہ وہ سبز پاکستان کی مہم میں بھرپور شرکت کریں۔
