Government determined to include the private sector in development process: PM

He said this while chairing a meeting concerning various development projects under the Public Sector Development Program, and projects accomplished with the participation of the private sector.

The prime minister directed the provincial governments of Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to submit a progress report on the implementation of federally run, and provincial development projects.

In the meeting, PM Imran has briefed about over 50 development projects worth Rs2000 billion that is about to complete with the participation of the private sector.

It was also informed that 14 projects worth Rs978 billion would be approved in the next three months while 18 projects of Rs1,016 billion would be approved in the financial year 2021-22.

PM was informed that the Public-Private Partnership Authority has approved two major projects Sialkot Kharian Motorway project and the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway project with a total cost of 233 billion rupees.

The meeting was briefed that six more projects worth Rs710 billion would be approved by August of this year.

180 initiatives have been identified under PSDP Plus with a total value of 5.5 trillion rupees, the meeting told PM Imran Khan.

The meeting was attended by Planning Minister Asad Umar, Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen, Secretaries, and other high officials from concerned Ministries.

 Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, and the provincial minister for finance participated through video link.

اسلام آباد: وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے کہا کہ حکومت نجی شعبے کو ترقیاتی عمل میں شامل کرنے کے لئے پوری طرح پرعزم ہے۔

انہوں نے یہ بات پبلک سیکٹر ڈویلپمنٹ پروگرام کے تحت ہونے والے مختلف ترقیاتی منصوبوں ، اور نجی شعبے کی شراکت سے مکمل کئے گئے منصوبوں سے متعلق اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے کہی۔

وزیر اعظم نے پنجاب ، اور خیبر پختونخوا کی صوبائی حکومتوں کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ وفاق سے چلنے والے ، اور صوبائی ترقیاتی منصوبوں پر عمل درآمد سے متعلق پیشرفت رپورٹ پیش کریں۔

اجلاس میں وزیر اعظم عمران کو 2000 ارب روپے کے 50 سے زائد ترقیاتی منصوبوں کے بارے میں بتایا گیا جو ایک نجی شعبے کی شراکت میں مکمل ہونے والے ہیں۔

یہ بھی بتایا گیا کہ آئندہ تین ماہ میں 978 ارب روپے مالیت کے 14 منصوبوں کی منظوری دی جائے گی جبکہ مالی سال 2021-22 میں 1،016 ارب روپے کے 18 منصوبوں کی منظوری دی جائے گی۔

وزیر اعظم کو بتایا گیا کہ پبلک پرائیویٹ پارٹنرشپ اتھارٹی نے سیالکوٹ کھاریاں موٹر وے پروجیکٹ اور سکھر حیدرآباد موٹر وے پروجیکٹ کو 233 ارب روپے کی لاگت سے منظوری دے دی ہے۔

اجلاس کو بتایا گیا کہ رواں سال اگست تک 710 ارب روپے کے 6 مزید منصوبوں کی منظوری دی جائے گی۔

اجلاس میں وزیر اعظم عمران خان کو بتایا گیا کہ پی ایس ڈی پی پلس کے تحت 180 اقدامات کی نشاندہی کی گئی ہے جن کی مجموعی مالیت 5.5 کھرب روپے ہے۔

اجلاس میں وزیر منصوبہ بندی اسد عمر ، وزیر خزانہ شوکت ترین ، سیکریٹریز اور متعلقہ وزارتوں کے دیگر اعلی عہدیدار شریک تھے۔

وزیر اعلی پنجاب عثمان بزدار ، اور صوبائی وزیر برائے خزانہ نے ویڈیو لنک کے ذریعے شرکت کی۔
