Islamabad: A renovation project, funded by the French Development Authority will focus on restoring the Lahore Fort and its buffer zone requiring a time period of five years, reported a news source.
Kamran Lashari, the Director-General of the Walled City of Lahore Authority signed the contract for the project recently. The contract ensures the provision of funds worth Rs.4.5 billion by the French Development Authority. The renovation work will also focus on the surrounding buffer zones, including the abandoned Heera Mandi, Taxali, and adjacent parks. This plan will go to the relevant ministries before it is approved by the federal cabinet.
This project will help enhance the grandeur of Lahore City. The governments of both Pakistan and France have already signed a €22-million financing agreement. This will help extend the technical and financial support for the renovation of the Lahore Fort.
اسلام آباد: ایک تزئین و آرائش کا منصوبہ، جسے فرانسیسی ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی نے مالی اعانت فراہم کی ہے، لاہور قلعے اور اس کے بفر زون کی بحالی پر توجہ مرکوز کرے گا جس کے لیے پانچ سال کا عرصہ درکار ہے۔
والڈ سٹی آف لاہور اتھارٹی کے ڈائریکٹر جنرل کامران لاشاری نے حال ہی میں اس منصوبے کے معاہدے پر دستخط کیے۔ معاہدہ فرانسیسی ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی کی طرف سے 4.5 بلین روپے کے فنڈز کی فراہمی کو یقینی بناتا ہے۔ تزئین و آرائش کا کام ارد گرد کے بفر زونز پر بھی توجہ مرکوز کرے گا، بشمول ترک شدہ ہیرا منڈی، ٹیکسالی، اور ملحقہ پارکس۔ یہ منصوبہ وفاقی کابینہ کی منظوری سے قبل متعلقہ وزارتوں کو جائے گا۔
یہ منصوبہ لاہور شہر کی شان و شوکت کو بڑھانے میں مدد دے گا۔ پاکستان اور فرانس دونوں کی حکومتیں پہلے ہی 22 ملین یورو کے مالیاتی معاہدے پر دستخط کر چکی ہیں۔ اس سے لاہور قلعہ کی تزئین و آرائش کے لیے تکنیکی اور مالی معاونت کو بڑھانے میں مدد ملے گی۔
