The Forest Department stopped the PHA from planting trees, the trees planted by the PHA on the forest lands were uprooted, 22 Kanals of land were planted under the Green Pakistan project.
Under the Green Pakistan project, PHA had developed a green belt from Band Road to Saginaw Bridge to beautify Lahore. The forest department had planted 22 Kanal of land. Senior Director PHA Ali Nawaz Shah said that PHA has been stopped from planting trees by the Forest Department under the Green Pakistan project.
The PHA has informed the Punjab Government and the Federal Government about the obstruction put in the way of the project by the Forest Department.
محکمہ جنگلات نے پی ایچ اے کو پودے لگانے سے روک دیا، جنگلات کی اراضی پر پی ایچ اے کی جانب سے لگائے گئے درخت اجاڑ دیے گئے، گرین پاکستان منصوبے کے تحت 22 کنال اراضی پر پودے لگائے گئے تھے۔
پی ایچ اے کی جانب سے گرین پاکستان منصوبے کے تحت لاہور کو خوبصورت بنانے کیلئے بند روڈ سے سگیاں پل کی طرف گرین بیلٹ تیار کی گئی تھی۔ محکمہ جنگلات کی 22 کنال اراضی پر پودے لگائے گئے تھے۔ سینئر ڈائریکٹر پی ایچ اے علی نواز شاہ کا کہنا ہے محکمہ جنگلات کی جانب سے پی ایچ اے کو گرین پاکستان منصوبے کے تحت پودے لگانے سے روک دیا گیا ہے۔
پی ایچ اے نے محکمہ جنگلات کی جانب سے منصوبے کے راستے میں کھڑی کی گئی رکاوٹ کے متعلق پنجاب حکومت اور وفاقی حکومت کو آگاہ کردیا ہے۔
