Focus on uplift of neglected areas: CM Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was fully focusing on the development of the areas which had been neglected in the past.

He was talking to PTI leader and former MNA Rai Hassan Nawaz at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here.

The CM said that work on a separate development package for the progress of Sahiwal was under process. He said that measures were being taken to establish an institute of cardiology in Sahiwal so that the people of the area could not have to travel to Lahore for treatment.

Every citizen of Punjab would be given universal health coverage, he added. He said that the Sehat Insaf Card program was being successfully carried out in the Sahiwal division, adding that an expressway would be constructed from the Samundri interchange for Sahiwal.

Usman Buzdar said the government was paying attention to those areas which had been intentionally neglected in the past, adding that the real journey of development had been started in Punjab.

He warned that the opposition should not engage itself in anti-state activities. No matter what the opposition does, the journey of progress and development would continue, he promised.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed the relevant authorities to take all possible measures for safeguarding the lives and properties of people, as it is the topmost responsibility of the government.

Presiding over a meeting to review the law and order situation in the province at the CM office on Saturday, he said: "Our religion gives us a lesson of peace as there is no room for violent behavior in it”.

The government would fulfill its responsibility to maintain the law and order situation in the province, he promised.

لاہور: وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب کے مطابق حکومت نظر انداز کیے گئے علاقوں کی ترقی پر پوری توجہ دے رہی ہے۔

وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب سردار عثمان بزدار نے کہا کہ پاکستان تحریک انصاف (پی ٹی آئی) کی حکومت ان علاقوں کی ترقی پر پوری توجہ دے رہی ہے جنہیں ماضی میں نظر انداز کیا گیا تھا۔

وہ یہاں وزیراعلیٰ سیکرٹریٹ میں پی ٹی آئی رہنما اور سابق ایم این اے رائے حسن نواز سے گفتگو ��ر رہے تھے۔

وزیراعلیٰ نے کہا کہ ساہیوال کی ترقی کے لیے الگ ترقیاتی پیکج پر کام جاری ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ساہیوال میں انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف کارڈیالوجی کے قیام کے لیے اقدامات کیے جا رہے ہیں تاکہ علاقے کے لوگوں کو علاج کے لیے لاہور نہ جانا پڑے۔

انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ پنجاب کے ہر شہری کو یونیورسل ہیلتھ کوریج دی جائے گی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ ساہیوال ڈویژن میں صحت انصاف کارڈ پروگرام کامیابی سے جاری ہے، ساہیوال کے لیے سمندری انٹر چینج سے ایکسپریس وے تعمیر کی جائے گی۔

عثمان بزدار نے کہا کہ حکومت ان شعبوں پر توجہ دے رہی ہے جنہیں ماضی میں جان بوجھ کر نظر انداز کیا گیا، پنجاب میں ترقی کا حقیقی سفر شروع ہو چکا ہے۔

انہوں نے خبردار کیا کہ اپوزیشن خود کو ریاست مخالف سرگرمیوں میں ملوث نہ کرے۔ انہوں نے وعدہ کیا کہ اپوزیشن چاہے کچھ بھی کر لے ترقی اور ترقی کا سفر جاری رہے گا۔

دریں اثناء وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب سردار عثمان بزدار نے متعلقہ حکام کو ہدایت کی ہے کہ عوام کے جان و مال کے تحفظ کے لیے تمام ممکنہ اقدامات کیے جائیں کیونکہ یہ حکومت کی اولین ذمہ داری ہے۔

ہفتے کے روز وزیراعلیٰ آفس میں صوبے میں امن و امان کی صورتحال کا جائزہ لینے کے لیے ایک اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے، انہوں نے کہا: "ہمارا مذہب ہمیں امن کا سبق دیتا ہے کیونکہ اس میں پرتشدد رویے کی کوئی گنجائش نہیں ہے"۔

انہوں نے وعدہ کیا کہ حکومت صوبے میں امن و امان کی صورتحال کو برقرار رکھنے کے لیے اپنی ذمہ داری پوری کرے گی۔
